LOS ANGELES -- Shelly Sterlings attorneys will ask a judge Thursday to order Donald Sterling and his attorneys to not threaten, harass or intimidate his wifes legal team and doctors who determined the Los Angeles Clippers co-owner was mentally incapacitated. Air Force 1 Cheap Wholesale . A person with knowledge of the legal proceedings told The Associated Press that the urgent request seeks protections for witnesses including three doctors who may be witnesses in next months scheduled trial to determine if Shelly Sterling can sell the Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion. The individual wasnt authorized to comment and spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday night on condition of anonymity. Donald Sterlings attorney, Maxwell Blecher, said a representative will be in court but wouldnt comment further. Representatives for Shelly Sterling and her attorney, Pierce ODonnell, declined comment. Its unclear what or if any specific incidents led to the decision to go to court Thursday. Neither party commented and court papers were not filed. Shelly Sterlings deal with Ballmer was struck after Donald Sterlings racist remarks to a girlfriend were recorded and publicized. The NBA moved to oust him as team owner, fined him $2.5 million and banned him for life. ODonnell said doctors determined the 80-year-old Donald Sterling was mentally "incapacitated" thereby making her sole administrator of the family trust, which owns the team, according to its terms. Donald Sterling is fighting that contention and her authority to sell. The deal would be record breaking if approved by the NBAs owners. Donald Sterling is also suing the NBA for $1 billion in federal court and alleges the league violated his constitutional rights, committed breach of contract and violated antitrust laws. He has hired four private investigations firms to dig up dirt on the NBAs former and current commissioners and its owners, according to a person familiar with Donald Sterlings legal strategy. ALAMEDA, Calif. Cheap Air Force 1 Uk . -- The Oakland Raiders have traded away the final player drafted by late owner Al Davis. Oakland dealt quarterback Terrelle Pryor to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday for a seventh-round pick in next months draft. The Raiders fulfilled Pryors wish to be traded a day before the start of their off-season program. Pryor had asked to be dealt after the season when he lost his starting job to undrafted rookie Matt McGloin, and the Raiders made the move after acquiring Matt Schaub from Houston to be the starter. Pryor said on Twitter: "Thank you Mr Davis and Raidernation for the unbelievable support!! I will miss the Fans and all of the teammates I have met over the years with the Raiders organization!!" The Raiders took Pryor in the third round of the supplemental draft in 2011, less than two months before Davis died. Pryor was suspended for the first five games by Commissioner Roger Goodell, who ruled he must miss the time he would have served under a suspension had he stayed at Ohio State. Pryor got on the field only once as a rookie, committing a false start before his first play. He then played sparingly late in his second season before beating out general manager Reggie McKenzies hand-picked starter, Matt Flynn, in training camp last summer. Pryor showed flashes of what he could do early in the season, completing 68.1 per cent of his passes for 845 yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions and a 97.6 passer rating in his first four starts. He also brought the running element to Oaklands offence and set an NFL record for quarterbacks with a 93-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage against Pittsburgh on Oct. 27. That was the final real highlight of his first year as a starter. He lost his job to McGloin a few weeks later after struggling through a knee injury in a loss to the New York Giants. Pryor had completed 50.1 per cent of his passes for 714 yards with one touchdown, eight interceptions and a 44.2 passer rating in his four starts before losing his job. He played only sparingly after that until starting the season finale against Denver. Pryor finished the season having completed 156 of 272 passes for 1,798 yards, seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions, with a passer rating of 69.1. He also rushed for 576 yards on 83 carries, but was sacked 31 times. Pryor will compete with Tarvaris Jackson and B.J. Daniels for the backup job to Russell Wilson on the Super Bowl champion Seahawks. "Terrelle is an incredibly explosive athlete and were excited for him to come in and compete," Seahawks general manager John Schneider said in a statement. The Raiders had already decided to go in a different direction at quarterback when they traded a sixth-round pick to Houston for Schaub. Coach Dennis Allen had already chosen Schaub as his starter and McGloin is in place as the backup. Oakland could still draft a quarterback next month. "It was a dream since I was young," Mason said Thursday in announcing his decision. "Im a dream chaser, and now Im just trying to make a dream into reality." The Heisman Trophy finalist was the Tigers workhorse late in the season, coming through in the seasons biggest games. "It was a big dream of mine," Mason said. "I wanted the ball bad, and I felt I could do something with the ball in my hand." Mason, who finished sixth in the Heisman voting, is projected as a likely mid-round draft pick. The 5-foot-10, 205-pounder said he received a third-round grade from the NFL draft advisory board. Third-year sophomore left tackle Greg Robinson is also headed to the NFL. Mason broke Bo Jacksons 28-year-old school single-season record with 1,816 yards. He also ran for 24 touchdowns and finished with six consecutive 100-yard rushing games. "He did a wonderful job for us not only this year, but really his whole career," said Auburn coach Gus Malzahn, who recruited Mason when he was offensive co-ordinator. "Not just the way he played football but the wayy he represented Auburn. Air Force 1 Clearance Sale. "This is a big day for him and his family. This is a big day for Auburn, so Im very proud of him." Mason rushed for 195 yards and scored two touchdowns in Monday nights BCS championship game against Florida State Monday night. His tackle-breaking 37-yard run with 1:19 left gave the Tigers the lead before losing 34-31. Once regarded as an undersized, speed back, Mason averaged 34 carries and 194.5 yards over the final four games. He ran 46 times for 304 yards and four touchdowns in the Southeastern Conference championship game against Missouri. Malzahn called Mason "one of the tougher individuals in all of college football." "He can run between the tackles, hes got great courage, he plays his best games in his biggest games, and hes a good receiver out of the backfield also," the coach said. Mason was asked what kind of running back the team that drafts him will get. "I feel like theyll get somebody thats a hard worker, willing to do whatever it takes to win," he said. "My minds not just set on money, its set on championships. I have yet to win a championship, and my mind-sets not going to change. God willing, Ill win a championship at the next level." AUGUSTA, Ga. Air Jordan 11 Retro NZ . -- Adam Scott is relishing every part of being Masters champion. The drive up Magnolia Lane. A couple of practice rounds with his dad. Wearing the green jacket. And, certainly, the champions dinner Tuesday night. But before anyone gets worked up about having to eat "bugs," no worries -- thats just Aussie-speak for a type of lobster. Scott went with surf-and-turf off the barbie for his Down Under-themed menu, so he doesnt expect too many complaints. "I think they are going to be pretty happy with what I serve up," he said with a sly smile, "particularly the wine." A year later, Scott is back at the scene of his greatest triumph, a thrilling playoff victory over Angel Cabrera that gave the 33-year-old Australian his first major championship. The breakthrough, after so many close calls and missed chances, has propelled him to the greatest run of his career, including top-five finishes at both the U.S. Open and British Open. Scott knows he has the game to add another major title or two to his resume. Hes eager to take advantage of it. "Im at the highest level Ive ever been at," Scott said. "My window of opportunity, I really think, is right now, and I dont know when it will close. So I just have to keep going as hard as I can right now." From the back of the room, his parents, Phil and Pam Scott, looked on proudly. After Adam was done with his interview session, they joined him on the podium for a family photo. Phil Scott is pleased with the way his son has dealt with his increased fame. "You can have respect for everything, from the game to the course to you guys," the father told a small group of reporters. "Youve got a choice to do it nicely or not. If you take the choice to do it nicely, I think you will have a better time." Phil Scott, who once coached his son, got a chance to join him on the course for practice rounds Friday and Sunday. It was the thrill of a lifetime for both of them. The elder Scott said he probably shot in the low 80s, though neither of them took the round too seriously. Instead, they relived some of the moments from Adams victory a year ago, from the clutch birdie putt on the 72nd hole that led the golfer to shout "Cmon, Aussie!" to the 12-footer on the second playoff hole that gave him the green jacket. "My dads been coming here for all these years Ive been playing, so it was nice for him to stand in the middle of the fairway rather than out on the edge," Scott said. "I think he also developed a pretty good appreciation for how good some of the guys are out here, chipping and putting around these greens." Phil agreed. "This place can make a fool of you," he said, "as it did to me." Not long after Scott finished off Cabrera down at the 10th hole, the winner began thinking of what it would mean to his life. Unlike so many first-time winners who are caught off guard by their newfound fame, he had a keen appreciation for how much things would change. Scott learned to manage his time better, dealing with his increased obligations while making sure it didnt affect the hours he needed to spend at the practice range. In addition, he eagerly relished the perks that came with being a Masters champion. "After winning this tournament last year and everyone asking me what the best thing about it was, I always felt like there would be things in the future that would be great about coming back here for the rest of my life," Scott said. "Ive got lots of those memories to look forward to. Thats why this place is just so unique." With Tiger Woods sidelined by injury, Scott has a chance to move to No. 1 for the first time in his career. He would take over the top spot by finishing no worse than a tie for third. Of course, hes aiming to win another Masters, which would make him just the fourth player to capture back-to-back titles. The other ones to do it: Jack Nicklaus (1965-66), Nick Faldo (1989-90) and Woods (2001-02). "I want to really get my head into playing well this week, because I think Im in good form," Scott said. If he does win another Masters, hell switch up the menu for the next champions dinner. "I would love to have served some meat pies at the cocktail hour, but it couldnt be arranged," Scott said. "Next time, if I get another chance to do it, Id love to serve some meat pies." Air Jordan 11 NZ . The Suns termed Fridays surgery by team doctor Thomas Carter a success. Im waiting. Im sure its going to happen pretty fast. We call a pass play, and hes going to do six spins reversing back and forth outside the pocket. Im going to hold my breath be yelling half the time, and then probably be running and jumping on top of him excited at the end of it.Who knows what will happen. I think thats why everyone enjoys watching him, and thats why Im excited to see what he does. Itll be fun.The Browns (7-6) need more than entertainment out of Manziel. They need him to take care of the ball, make good decisions and inject some energy into to Clevelands lifeless offence. Manziel may be the 21st quarterback to start for the Browns since 1999, but the team is discarding its sordid history at the position to see what the 22-year-old can do.Cleveland has tapered its offence to suit Manziel, who came off the bench for deposed starter Brian Hoyer two weeks ago at Buffalo and flashed some of his Johnny Football magic by tucking the ball away, recognizing a lane many quarterbacks wouldnt have seen and darting to the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown run. With a week to install plays to best use Manziels arm and legs, the Browns hope to keep the Bengals off balance. But the bigger issue may be getting Manziel to understand that he doesnt have to transform every play into a TV highlight.Browns coach Mike Pettine doesnt want to put a collar on Manziel, but he doesnt wantt him running wild. Air Jordan 11 NZ Sale. Its going to be more within the structure of our offence, but at the same time, if you have a guy that has a unique skillset, you dont want to quell that either, he said. You want to allow him to do it, but youve got to be able to pick and choose your times to do it. On every drop-back pass he cannot look to turn it into a punt return. We just dont want to turn it into, Hey, lets run his college offence and let it turn into street ball, but we also dont want to say, Hey listen, heres the playbook. We need to follow this exactly to the letter. Were not going to do that either.Shanahan said he has occasionally looks at game tapes of Manziel in college to help him put together plays. The Browns dont have any allusions that Manziel will be able to run around and do what he did while winning a Heiman Trophy. Theyre going to let Johnny be Johnny and hope that its good enough.Hes tried to develop in every facet, but when that ball snaps, I dont want him thinking about coaching points. I dont want him thinking about how the play is supposed to be. I want him reacting, and hopefully when someone is open, he reacts and lets it rip. Hopefully when someones not, he reacts and does his deal. You just dont want to take that away from him.NOTES: Browns WR Miles Austin expects to play next year after his season was ended by a lacerated kidney suffered against Buffalo. Austin said he had urine in his blood for several days, which led to his hospitalization. Hell undergo further tests in a few weeks. Austins contract ends after the season, but he wants to re-sign with Cleveland. Ive had such a great experience with the guys here, he said. I just have to heal up and make sure everythings right. ...CB Joe Haden said he and his teammates have not forgotten the negative postgame comments Bengals RB Jeremy Hill made about them after the Browns won 24-3 in Cincinnati on Dec. 14. Weve got them up. Its bulletin board material, Haden said. You see what he felt about us. (SportsNetwork. Nike Shox Outlet .com) - Indianapolis Colts linebacker Josh McNary has been charged with rape and other offenses after he was accused by a woman of attacking her last month, according to court documents. The Colts said in a statement Wednesday they were aware of the situation but were still gathering facts. According to court documents, prosecutors in Marion County (Indiana) charged McNary with rape and criminal confinement, both felonies, and battery resulting in bodily injury, a misdemeanor. The documents were posted online by Deadspin.com. According to an affidavit for probable cause, police were called in the early morning hours of Dec. 1 in reference to a rape report and were told by a 29- year-old woman that she had been attacked by an unknown male about an hour earlier at an unknown location. She told police she arrived at an unknown apartment after a night out with co- workers at a downtown bar and had a physical fight with a male, during which she said she believed she scratched his neck, face, back and shoulder. After the altercation she says she was forced to have sex. When the man went into the bathroom, she left the apartment, stealing his cell phone. The woman told police she didnt remember her alleged attackers name. Using a warrant, police searched the phone and found an entry that indicated it belonged to McNary. When detectives arrived at an apartment to execute a search warrant, they found a set of white bedding in front of a combination washer/dryer machine. McNary pointed to the bedding and said, I preserved it for you because I knew you would be coming, according to the affidavit. McNary pointed to items of clothing on a couch and said, Thats her stuff right there, according to the affidavit. He was questioned by police and requested an attorney. He later underwent a suspect sexual assault examination at a hospital, during which a detective observed reddened abrasions and scratches on McNarys neck, abdomen, shoulder and back. We are aware that there has been a report about Josh McNary, but unfortunately thats the limit of our knowledge, the Colts said in a statement released to media outlets. At this time we are very concerned and trying to find out what the relevant facts are, but we have insufficient information to venture any opinion. As we learn more we will make appropriate updates. McNary graduated as Armys all-time career leader in sacks and tackles for a loss and served in the Army before he was signed by the Colts as a free agent in April 2013. He has recorded 42 tackles in 20 NFL games, including 28 this past season when he started four games. The Colts will face the New England Patriots on the road Sunday in the AFC Championship Game. CHICAGO - Impressive wins have been rare for the Brooklyn Nets this season, but Brook Lopez believes the team can (and should) have more performances like Tuesday night. Air Jordan 3 Canada Online .I think weve been capable of putting together an effort like this throughout the year, he said. We just havent really sustained it the entire game and we did tonight. We can be a lot better than this.Lopez had a season-high 29 points, Joe Johnson had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Nets to a 96-82 victory, snapping the Chicago Bulls seven-game winning streak.Brooklyn (15-16) had just one previous win this season against a team with a winning record, a 95-93 overtime win against San Antonio on Dec. 3.Tonight we committed to help each other, Brooklyn coach Lionel Hollins said. Its been our game plan. We have just gotten better at doing it.Mike Dunleavy led the Bulls (22-10) with 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting, including 5 for 9 on 3-pointers.Jimmy Butler, who averaged 26.4 points during the winning streak, had just eight points. Derrick Rose had just four on 2-for-15 shooting.During their seven-game streak, the Bulls had averaged 106.6 points on 45.4 per cent shooting. But after a 31-point first quarter, they struggled to score the rest of the game.I mean, this was the first game that it was like this, Rose said of the Bulls poor shooting. Usually, its me by myself missing shots and everyone else making shots.Rose is just 7 for 35 from the field in back-to-back games the previous two nights. Its just two games, he said. Im not going to stop shooting. The Nets would like to think they played a large role in the Bulls offensive woes. The biggest thing was holding them to one shot, Mason Plumlee said. Our initial defence has been pretty good at times this season, but weve given up too many second shots. The Nets also put pressure on the Bulls on the offensive end with Lopez, playing in just his fifth game since returning from a lower back strain, going 13 for 21 from the field. Johnson was 8 for 14 from the field and recorded his first points-rounds double-double in six years. The Nets took control in the second quarter and had a 55-45 halftime lead. After the Bulls pulled within five early in the third, Brooklyn reclaimed command and had an 84-69 lead heading into the fourth. It was the way the team played, Lopez said. We played together, we moved the ball well, we shared it and, most importantly, from the second quarter on we made our living defensively, getting stops and limiting, for the most part, them to one shot.____TIP INS:Nets: Kevin Garnett was held out after playing 21 minutes Monday night against Sacramento in Brooklyn. Lopez started in Garnetts spot. He played 33 minutes after not totally more than 15 in the previous four games.Bulls: Kirk Hinrich (left hamstring) missed his fifth straight game. He still is listed as day-to-day and there is no target date for his return.EJECTEDBulls guard Aaron Brooks was ejected in the second quarter after picking up two quick technical fouls. With the players heading toward the bench following a timeout with 9:42 remaining in the first half, Brooks picked up the first technical from official David Guthrie for bouncing the ball hard back onto the court. At that point, Brooks turned and said something to Guthrie. The official then called the second technical, resulting in the automatic ejection. It was very surprising to me, Brooks said. There was a lot of yelling going on during the game, and the person who wasnt yelling got a technical. That made no sense to me, so whatever . . .HOME IMPROVEMENT:The Bulls also had a five-game home winning streak snapped and are just 8-6 at the United Center after beginning the season. Tuesdays game began a stretch of eight of nine games at home — the lone road game is Jan. 9 at Washington — so the Bulls can start another streak if they correct their home-court problems.UP NEXT:The Nets are at Orlando on Friday. The Bulls host the Denver Nuggets on New Years Day. LOUIS -- St.When undefeated women’s bantamweight fighter Holly Holm steps into the Octagon to make her UFC debut against Raquel Pennington, many believe it will be her first step in the promotion towards a bout with champion Ronda Rousey. The former professional boxer and kickboxer, who has held multiple titles in different weight classes during her career, though is not ready to overlook her first UFC opponent in favour of future bouts. “It is a lot of pressure, I haven’t even had my first fight in the UFC so I have a lot to prove,” said Holm. “I don’t really like to talk so much about the championship fight because Raquel Pennington is first and if I don’t do well with that it’s going to be what was all this talk about? What was the hype about? I want to take this fight and not look past it.” Still a matchup of the 7-0 Holm and the 10-0 Rousey looms over Holm’s promotional debut, which will take place at UFC 184 on the undercard of the same event wwhere the champion will defend her gold in the co-main against Cat Zingano. Rousey has already defeated some of the best women’s bantamweight fighters in the world, but Holm does not think the Riverside County, California native is indestructible. “I think she’s great, she’s ran through everyone and made it look easy,” said Holm. “Is it tough to beat her? Absolutely, I think everybody has tried to bring their best game. On the flipside everyone is human and everyone is beatable.” As far as the woman she will face at the February 28th Los Angeles, California based event, Holm knows it’s a victory she will have to earn in the Octagon. “She’s very comfortable, she doesn’t let anything get to her and she doesn’t break down too much mentally,” said Holm. “She found herself in a couple of tough spots and just waited for that opening, so she’s definitely someone not to get too comfortable with or too lazy with.” China NFL Jerseys Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Cheap Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap Basketball Jerseys Online Stitched Hockey Jerseys Wholesale Baseball Jerseys Football Jerseys Outlet College Jerseys For Sale Cheap MLB Jerseys Wholesale Soccer Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys For Sale Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

Braves starter Alex Wood (2-4) allowed seven runs and 10 hits, leaving after facing four batters without getting an out in the sixth. Wood and Fernandez had a memorable duel last week, combining for 25 strikeouts and no walks in what became a 1-0 Miami win that lasted 2 hours, 8 minutes. This time, Fernandez -- who got booed by some in the crowd after not running out a sharp grounder to shortstop leading off the third -- needed only one run again. Miami just happened to give him eight more for good measure. The runs came in bunches during the rematch, with Miami scoring three in the third and five more in the sixth to blow it open. &quoot; We have to figure out how to beat Fernandez," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. Air Jordan 3 Retro Ireland. "Not everybody is Cy Young, and you still have to beat Cy Young every once in a while." Stanton went the opposite way for a two-run homer to right in the third inning, and Ozunas single in the sixth was enough to chase Wood. Fernandez even added a run-scoring single later in the sixth, and Saltalamacchia connected off Braves reliever Anthony Varvaro in the seventh. The Braves had only three right-handed batters in the starting lineup against Fernandez, looking for any way to break through against him. It was evident early that little was going to work. Fernandez needed only 17 pitches to get his first seven outs, and ended two innings with a pair of knee-buckling 83 mph off-speed offerings. Fernandez was even solid in the field, keeping the game scoreless with a nifty play to end the third. He came hard off the mound to field Ramiro Penas chopper that stopped halfway up the third base line, then faked a throw to first -- which baited the Braves Tyler Pastornicky into taking off from third base. Fernandez simply flipped the ball to Saltalamacchia, who put the tag on a sliding Pastornicky and kept the game scoreless. By the time Fernandez returned to the mound, he had a 3-0 lead and was rolling. Fernandez said he and Saltalamacchia had a quick pregame meeting to go over strategy and came up with the following plan: Whatever Miamis catcher called, Fernandez would throw. Redmond said he considered letting Fernandez finish the game, but with a nine-run lead the manager didnt want to take any risks in the ninth. "Ill get it sometime," Fernandez said of the elusive first complete game. NOTES: Aaron Harang (3-1) goes for Atlanta on Wednesday against the Marlins Nathan Eovaldi (1-1). ... ANAHEIM, Calif. Cheap Australia Air Jordan . -- Ryan Getzlaf has been shooting the puck more this season, and its been paying off for himself and his teammates. Getzlaf put Anaheim ahead to stay in the final minute of the first period with his career-high 26th goal, and Corey Perry, Patrick Maroon and Daniel Winnik also scored as the Ducks beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3 Thursday night. Getzlaf, in the first season of an eight-year, $66 million contract extension he signed last March, scored 25 goals during the Ducks 2006-07 Stanley Cup championship season and matched that total in 2008-09. "If he shoots the puck, hes going to score. And he shoots the puck a lot -- a lot more than hes done in the past. So consequently, hes getting goals," coach Bruce Boudreau said in reference to Getzlafs 136 shots on net. The Ducks captain also recorded his second career "Gordie Howe hat trick" -- a goal, an assist, and a fight with Steve Downie. "He said to me earlier that I owed him one from that first game of the season when we fought and he was with Colorado," Getzlaf said. "So he asked me to go, and I thought it an OK time for me to do it." Saku Koivu added an empty-net goal and Frederik Andersen made 27 saves, helping the Ducks improve their NHL-leading record to 40-11-5 and their home mark to 22-2-2. They have won 22 of their last 26 games, and are off to the best start in franchise history. Winnik gave Anaheim a 4-2 lead with a short-handed goal, the ninth allowed this season by the Flyers -- tying Edmonton for the league lead. Koivu broke up a pass in the Ducks zone and went off on a 2-on-1 break with Winnik, who beat Steve Mason to the glove side with 7:34 remaining while teammate Hampus Lindholm was off for high-sticking Claude Giroux. "The way they play on the power play, they get four guys down below the hash marks after a shot," Winnik said after his first goal since Oct. 10. "It was something we knew going into the game, so we felt there could be chances that way and we were fortunate to get one tonight. It felt really good. It was a long time coming. Its nice to get that pressure off me." Andersen is 13-2-0 in his first 15 NHL starts, and hasnt allowed more than three goals in any of them. He has a 1.94 goals-against average, including a two-period relief stint in his NHL debut on Oct. 20, when he earned a 6-3 win in relief against Dallas by stopping all 24 shots he faced after Jonas Hiller left with a 3-1 deficit. "Our depth at goaltending has been outstanding, and when Freddies played hes been unbelievable," Getzlaf said. "Hes a big kid and for a young guy, he plays really calm in the net. Hes not too active, and thats a good sign. Hes a goalie that settles things down back there." Vincent Lecavalier, Matt Read and Michael Raffl scored for the Flyers, and Mason stopped 23 shots following his 33-save shutout against Detroit on Tuesday at Philadelphia. The Flyers are 3-6-2 in their last 11 games following a 7-1-0 stretch. "It was a pretty physical game," Boudreau said. "They were trying to push us around, but I thought we did a pretty good job of standing up for ourselves." Philadelphia came in averaging a league-worst 15.9 penalty minutes, but it was the Ducks who couldnt stay out of the box during the first period as the Flyers cashed in on one of three power plays. Lecavalier beat Andersen through the pads with a 25-foot wrist shot from the right circle, tying it at 1 with 3 seconds left on Matt Beleskeys interference penalty. Getzlaf regained the lead for Anaheim parking himself at the edge of the crease and redirecting Lindholms 50-foot slap shot past Mason with 36 seconds left in the period. Perry made it 3-1 at 10:29 of the second, beating Mason to the glove side from the low slot after getting a cross-ice pass from Getzlaf. The Ducks are 9-0-1 this season when Getzlaf and Perry score goals in the same game, and 23-3-4 under those circumstances since Feb. 1, 2010. "There wasnt a single clean shot from the point the entire night," Mason said. "They did a great job of getting sticks on it, bodies in front. When you have a team like that, it makes it difficult to stop pucks. We controlled a lot of the play, but they were able to get two deflections in there. For the most part, we did a pretty good job." Read scored his 14th goal with 14:12 remaining, after Mark Streits sharp-angle shot from the left corner struck Andersen in the chest and bounced into the net off Reads right leg. NOTES: C Nick Bonino, one of four players to appear in all 56 games for Anaheim, went to the dressing room with an upper-body injury after an open-ice hit from C Zac Rinaldo at 12:38 of the opening period. He played four shifts in the second period before calling it a night. ... Rinaldo returned to the lineup after missing 10 games with a high left ankle sprain. ... Lindholm leads all rookies with a plus-minus figure of plus-25. He was a plus-2 against the Flyers. ... Winniks goal was his second this season and third in his last 96 games. ... The Flyers have connected on the power play in five straight games and 11 of the last 14. ... The Flyers are 26-20-6 since Craig Berube replaced Peter Laviolette as head coach following the teams second consecutive 0-3 start. ... The Ducks are 32-1-2 when scoring three or more goals, and 31-0-2 when allowing fewer than three. They also are 30-1-2 when leading after two periods. Air Jordan Australia Cheap . After beginning the season 4-3, allowing 100.9 points on 47 per cent shooting, Miamis resurgent defence has vaulted them back to the top of a weak Eastern Conference. BARCELONA, Spain -- Cristiano Ronaldo scored two long-range goals to help Real Madrid rout Osasuna 4-0 on Saturday and stay in the Spanish league title chase while resting several first-choice players for its European clash at Bayern Munich. With Gareth Bale recovering from the flu and Karim Benzema on the bench, all of Madrids attack went through Ronaldo on the left flank. And the Ballon dOr winner didnt disappoint by unleashing two similar blasts after cutting inside to put the ball on his right boot and lift his league-leading tally to 30 goals through 35 rounds. Madrid provisionally closed to within three points of leader Atletico Madrid before it visits Valencia on Sunday, when Barcelona, one point behind Madrid, hosts Villarreal. Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti also gave valuable rest to defender Pepe and midfielder Xavi Alonso to prepare for its visit to Bayern on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League semifinal. Madrid won the first leg 1-0. "Everything he tried turned out well for us," Ancelotti said about Ronaldo. "We could rest some players and played a good game, even if it wasnt a very intense one." Elsewhere, Getafes 1-0 win over Malaga condemned last-place Real Betis to relegation even before it fell 1-0 at home to Real Sociedad, while Rayo Vallecano scored three times in the second half for a 3-0 win at 10-man Granada. Osasuna lined up to provide Madrid a guard of honour before the match as the hosts paraded their recently won Copa del Rey trophy at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Ronaldo then went to work chalking up his 29th league goal in the sixth minute when he unleashed a trademark blast from outside the area that took a slight deflection off defender Damia Abella before falling just inside the far upright. He looked to get his teammates involved, and set up scoring chances for Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Alvaro Morata. But it fell to Ronaldo to start the seconnd half as he had the first, with Osasunas outclassed defence letting him again dribble to near the elbow of the area before he launched a shot into the top corner of the net in the 52nd. Air Jordan Retro Clearance. "Both goals came at the start of each half and that complicated things for us," Osasuna coach Javi Gracia said. "They are both more merit of Ronaldo than my defences fault. Its true Damia touches the first strike and that gives it an effect, but the second shot is unstoppable." Sergio Ramos headed in a third goal in the 60th and Ronaldo went to the bench seconds later to an ovation from the crowd. Dani Carvajal headed home Isco Alarcons lobbed pass to cap the lopsided victory in the 83rd. Osasuna, which lost Raoul Loe and Emiliano Armenteros to injuries, remained three points above the relegation zone along with Getafe. Forward Adrian Colunga scored what proved to be the winner seven minutes into the game at Getafe from a pass by Ciprian Marica, who left his side a man down from the 37th for a second yellow card. But Malaga couldnt take advantage of the extra man and itself lost a player when Marcos Angeleri was sent off for a second booking in the 76th. "This victory is huge," Getafe coach Cosmin Contra said. "You saw team spirit today. We are still alive." Sociedad added to Betis misery by winning thanks to Carlo Velas 54th-minute penalty kick after Juan Carlos Perez fouled him in the area. Sociedad strengthen its hold on sixth place and cemented its Europa League berth for next season. Rayo rose into ninth place with only one loss in its last 10 matches. Rayo held Granada in check in the first half before Yacine Brahimis dismissal for a second yellow card in the 51st turned the match in the visitors favour. WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- Winger Ben Smith kept up his prolific try-scoring record in test matches this season, touching down twice as New Zealand took advantage of lax defence to beat Australia 27-16 in the Rugby Championship and retain the Bledisloe Cup on Saturday. Cheap Jordans Canada . Smith scored three tries in the All Blacks 47-29 win over the Wallabies in Sydney last weekend in the competitions opening game and has now scored seven tries in his last four test appearances. Flyhalf Tom Taylor, who was plunged into test rugby when New Zealand lost three No. 10s to injury, kicked 14 points from a conversion and four penalties in a sound debut while fullback Israel Dagg also kicked a penalty. Israel Folau scored a late intercept try for Australia, beating Dagg with a giant sidestep, while Christian Lealiifano converted and added three penalties. The Australians competed strongly in the first 25 minutes, securing a small majority of possession and placing the All Blacks under searching pressure. But they failed to take advantage of a handful of opportunities, were rebuffed by a solid New Zealand defence then conceded two tries to Smith in the last 13 minutes of the first half to trail 15-6 at halftime. Though they made sporadic breaks, the Australians had no coherence and therefore offered no sustained threat from their attacking game. When they were most strongly on attack, pressing the New Zealand line, they found the All Blacks defence impenetrable. The All Blacks, in contrast, were again able to turn even half-chances from Wallabies turnovers into tries and to walk through gaping holes in Australias interior defence. Mistiming its rush defence and the timidity of some individual defenders allowed New Zealand to perforate the Australian defensive line on a number of occasions. "For the first 30 minutes, we were under the pump," All Blacks captain Richie McCaw said. "We were just beaten to the punch in the contact areas. "But when we got our opportunities, because momentum does change, we managed to capitalize on it and thats the way youve got to do it in rugby these days. I thought we took good options tonight, our kicking was good and we took our chances." The All Blacks overpowered the Wallabies at scrums, showing their mastery of new rules of engagement being applied for the first time this season. They were led in that respect by loosehead prop Tony Woodcock, who became the fourth New Zealander to play 100 tests. Australia were humiliated by the British and Irish Lions scrum in their three-test series in June but that almost paled in comparison with the scrummaging lesson it received from the All Blacks here. New Zealands victory, following its win in Sydney last week, ensured it wins this seasons three-match series for the Bledisloe Cup, extending to 11 years its hold on a trophy which is played for annually between the All Blacks and Wallabies. The All Blacks remain unbeaten against Australia at home since 2003 and have won all but three of their last 19 test meetings. "I said last week wed only done half the job and to win again this week means weve got the Bledisloe Cup in the cupboard for another year," All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said. "We knew that Australia would come at us and in the first 20 minutes a lot of the moments were going to belong to them if we didnt turn up mentally. We got away to a slow start and they probably owned it a bit. But what I did like was that we absorbed it and came back and started to win our own moments." Australia hooker Stephen Moore went close to scoring in the sixth minute and Lealiifano made a telling break in the 24th minute but was hauled down in cover defence by scrumhalf Aaron Smith. Both attacks led to penalties, which Lealiifano converted to give Australia a 6-0 lead. At that point, they had the better of the match and they were competing strongly and energetically, if not always effectively, because of the limitations of their attacking game. The match turned in the 27th minute when New Zealand secured possession from an Australian kick and quickly shifted the ball wide where winger Julian Savea briefly held up the defence and created space from which Smith scored his first try. Taylor converted and New Zealand took a lead, at 7-6, which they never relinquished. Outstanding backrower Steven Luatua, who excelled both in defence and attack, made the critical break in the 39th minute from which Smith scored his second and most telling try. Quick hands among the New Zealand backs again created an overlap against a compact defence and Smith slipped down the touchline to score. New Zealand extended its lead to 24-9 in the 70th minute, with Taylors fourth penalty and his fifth successful kick from seven attempts. Folau then gave the scoreline respectability with his third try in tests, swooping on an All Blacks pass and brilliantly beating Dagg in the open field. "Youve just got to take your hat off to New Zealand, theyre a very clinical side and they make the most of their possession," Wallabies captain James Horwill said. "Theyre very good and unfortunately now we have another year without the Bledisloe Cup, which is very disappointing." ---------- New Zealand 27 (Ben Smith 2 tries; Tom Taylor conversion, 4 penalties; Israel Dagg penalty), Australia 16 (Israel Folau try; Christian Lealiifano conversion, 3 penalties). The last time a Scotsman made headline news like this was back in 1776. Cheap Ray Ban Sunglasses Free Shipping . That time, Adam Smith and something about an Invisible Hand ruled the waves. This time around, its Sir Alex Ferguson and his phantom presence in the Manchester United dressing room. With the mid-May words of the wise, old sage still reverberating around Old Trafford from the speech he gave following his final game in charge, he urged the crowd to give the new manager time to bed in. Never one to do things in half measures, Ferguson was also likely sending a warning to the media. If the Barclays Premier League holders get off to the slow start, they should back off Moyes and instead reflect on how many seasons it took Ferguson spent to deliver his first piece of silverware to his new club. That pot-less run for Ferguson extended from fall 1986 to spring 1990, when in May of that year, Manchester United beat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Final. Even with Ferguson still at the helm, United could not have hoped, wished or expected to replicate the form and results of last season. One in which they seemed to collect points from a losing position for fun. When Ferguson informed David Moyes and then the world that the ex-Everton man would be the next United manager, I immediately put my money where my big mouth was and said it would start - and end - in tears. Moyes has started, as I mean him to go on. By that, I didnt think for a moment that by inheriting Sir Alexs comfy office chair, he would also mimic the champ. What was young David thinking when banging on in the close season about BPL conspiracy theories and his perceived unkind fixture list? Makes you think that Fergie left not a bottle of fine red wine for Moyes in the top drawer, but a memo on official club letterhead from seasons past. Reverting back to the father of the free market (Adam Smith and economic need for mathematical correlation), Manchester Uniteds calamitous performances and results through 15 matches are almost in keeping with Moyes repetitive faux-pas self. Keep a lid on it, David. Instead, replay all of Lord Fergs pre-match pressers over the past quarter of a century. I bet you can count - on one slippery hand - the amount of times Ferguson used the word hopefully when referring to a desperate and urgent need to improve league form or top a champions league group. Moyes used the word twice in two straight sentences when setting up Tuesdays Matchday 6 encounter at Old Trafford. Jeepers creepers, hopefully the fresh-faced 50-year-old didnt use it again when setting up Sunday lunchtimes encounter at Villa Park. Roy Keane sticking his paddle in (it used to be a magnificent MUFC oar) during the week is right up there with Kevin Keegan losing the Fergie plot. A live 90-second TV rant which has now entered the BPL folklore annals, until King Kev opened his gob, it seemed certain Newcastle would win the title back in 1996. And guess who won it? The seeds of Moyes fall can be traced back to late February of this year, when MUFC CEO David Gill popped round Fergusons house one Sunday afternoon to advise the Knight he would be leaving OT at seasons end. Ferguson admitted that he attempted to convince Gill to stay. And one of footballs most decorated and highly-respected administrators was having none of it. Proving empirically who ruled the MUFC roost, Gill politely turned Fergusons overtures. In this column back in February I outlined Gills vast importance and significance to the Manchester United cause. Manchester United losing their manager and CEO in the same breath is unheard of. Perhaps Fergie mistakenly left Gills direct line office number for Moyes in that top drawer. This can be the only rational explanation for Uniteds pre-season form in the transfer market. Even Will Ferrell couldnt have invented a funnier screenplay. Danny Devito destined to be the leader of them, three less-than-wise Spanish men who are alleged to have shown up at the Madrid based LFP offices to conclude the Ander Herrera deal. The man who replaced Gill - Ed Woodward - was so off-MUFC script funny, no one could deny him opportunity to portray himself. Theres no denying that just like when a global musical icon passes away do we get to fully understand their true legacy and place in history. That said, there has to be a significant, indirect correlation with Fergusons retirement and the immediate rebuilding of Liverpool and Arsenals perches this season. Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers teams are playing with a greater freedom. A breath of football fresh air surrounds the Emirates and Anfield so far this season. No other clubs have played so expressively and enthusiastically; little Luis getting his MUFC laughs on. Simultaneously, a rather dark shadow pervades at Old Trafford. Stretching down from middle tier of the grandstand enveloping the directors box as it goes, its core matter runs right through the United bench to the edge of the technical area. Poor Moyes has got his back to it. Fergsuon could be at his French chateau, but the giant of a football mans shadow remains. As does the coaching calamity that followed at Old Trafford after Sir Matt Busby resigned. We all know from our MUFC history books that Sir Matt felt a deep obligation to return - and did. Only time will be the determinant if Sir Alex does likewise. Not rational, he does. But I ask you this - what has been rational down Old Trafford way since May 12, 2011? In the meantime, I suggested back in November of 2011 that Sir Alex should be installed as MLS Honorary President. RENTON, Wash. Air Max 720 Canada . - During one of the most successful coaching careers in football, Pete Carroll rarely has committed errors. He did at Southern California with Clay Matthews, and Carroll still shakes his head about it.A defensive mastermind throughout his years in pro and college football, Carroll always has had an eye for talented linebackers. Somehow, he didnt immediately see the skill in Matthews, a third-generation player who wasnt much more than a special teams guy early on with the Trojans. On Sunday, Carrolls Seahawks (13-4) will face Matthews Packers (13-4) in the NFC championship game. Carroll loves what he sees out of Matthews, a five-time Pro Bowler — even though the coach didnt recognize that playmaking ability back at USC.Thats a really interesting story, Carroll began. Clay comes from a great family, an SC family: dad, uncle and all of that had been All-Americans and All-Pros. ... His older brother was a walk-on player before him. When Clay came in he was 208 pounds and he didnt run really well. He wasnt really strong, but he loved playing and he tried really hard.Carroll paused, looking as if he wanted to smack himself upside the head before he continued with the SC saga.Unfortunately, this is one of the great mistakes that I missed in my coaching at SC was how good of a player he was, Carroll added. I had said going in I think maybe his junior year, somebody asked me about Clay Matthews, and I said, I think he might be one of the best special teamers to ever play at USC. He was a great player on (special) teams.I knew I couldnt really validate that, but I was blowing him up because he was a great kid.Fast-forward to Matthews final season with the Trojans. He was not a starter when top-ranked Southern Cal was losing at Oregon State. Searching for some answers, Carroll turned to Matthews. The Trojans still lost, but Carroll realized hed missed the mark earlier with Matthews. We put him in the game, and we said, We know Clay will do the right thing, Carroll said. He started playing there, and hes been a great player since the time he was given the opportunity to show it. He was always there banging away, always there fighting, clawing and scratching.Maybe because of the way he came up, it took him a long time to develop, and (we) didnt recognize the great heart that he had, and unbelievable competitiveness and the great savvy that he demonstrates now. Its really one of my big misses. I should have figured that out a lot sooner than I did. He made the rest of it history and been an extraordinary player ever since.Matthews consistently has performed in the NFL better than many of Carrolls other USC linebackers: Brian Cushing, Rey Maualuga, Keith Rivers, et al. This season, Packers co-ordinator Dom Capers has moved Matthews from outside to inside and back, and Green Bays defence stepped up in the second half of the schedule. The Southern Cal days are far behind for Matthews, who went 26th overall to Green Bay in the 2009 draft and was runner-up to Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu for NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2010. He seemed to pay little attention to the fact Carroll will be on the other sideline Sunday, other than praising Carrolls achievements.Uh, you know he had a successful program at SC in my tenure there and years prior, and after me leaving, Matthews said. So its always interesting how coaches will deal with the next level, and hes obviously doing a fantastic job. Hes got the right athletes in place to help his scheme out, and hes doing a great job. Youve got to tip your hat to him.Carroll admitted he observes the work of Matthews and every other Trojan in the NFL, even though he only occasionally reaches out to Matthews. Not too much, he said of communicating with his former player. But because its the SC family, everybody is always kind of keeping track of everybody else. We always have an eye on each other, I think.___AP Sports Writers Tim Booth and Genaro C. Griffin received the technical after swinging his right arm around trying to get the ball from Denvers Timofey Mozgov and hitting him in the head with 3:23 left in the second quarter in Tuesday nights win. Regardless, Griffin planned to skip the last game to rest before the NBA playoffs. Emmitt Smith Jersey . "Win basketball games," Collins said. He will get at least a few more chances. NASHVILLE -- Ilya Bryzgalov is feeling comfortable and very welcome in the Edmonton Oilers locker room, and the 33-year-old goaltender just proved he still knows how to shut opponents down. Cheap Air Max 1 Outlet . Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall scored 51 seconds apart in the second period, and Bryzgalov got a shutout in his first start for Edmonton as the Oilers beat the Nashville Predators 3-0 Thursday night. "Always like it when they dont score," Oilers coach Dallas Eakins said. "And he picked up right where he left off last game. I thought he was solid. He looked big in the net, everything. Check marks right across the page for him." Bryzgalov, signed by the Oilers on Nov. 8, made 33 saves in his first NHL start since April 25 when he was in net for Philadelphia. Jordan Eberle added an empty-netter in the final minute off an assist from Hall, and the Oilers have won four of five. "So far so good," Bryzgalov said. Predators captain Shea Weber was hit by a puck near his right eye at 15:24 of the second, dropped to the ice and immediately skated to the locker room. He did not return with what team officials called an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. Nashville, which had won two straight, lost for the second time in seven games. Predators coach Barry Trotz noted they have used four goaltenders themselves this season. "The guys are going to bear down and play hard for the new guy thats in net," Trotz said. "The new guy for them is Bryzgalov, and we talked before the game that we needed to get in the hard areas and throw some pucks. He hasnt played for a while. He may be a little rusty. The game might not be tight. .. But obviously we didnt play hard enough in those hard areas." The Predators hosted one of the NHLs two games and were the only American team in action Thursday, wanting to start a holiday tradition in Nashville pairing hockey with turkey. It was just their 11th home game this season, fewer than all but Dallas and the Rangers. Nashville outshot Edmonton 13-9 in a sluggish first period with the Predators playing the second game of a back-to-back after winning 4-0 in Columbus on Wednesday night. This is the Oilers only visit to Nashville this season and the start of a three-game road trip. Eakins said he thought both teams were checking hard, which can lead to a dull or sluggish game. "But when youre coaching and you need your team to get better defensively, thats a ray of bright light coming in when the game looks sluggish but your teams checking very well," Eakins said. The Oilers opened the second by taking the first five shots, and Predators forward Paul Gaustad and Oilers left wing David Perron each went to the penalty box for unsportsmanlike conduct at 5:07. Nugent-Hopkins tipped in a shot by Jeff Petry 25 seconds later during the 4-on-4, and Hall scored on a backhander from Sam Gagner at 6:23 for a 2-0 lead. "Were a fast, skilled team," Nugent-Hopkins said. "We have to take opportunities when we get them. Four-on-four is a situation that when we play our game, we can get a couple goals." Bryzgalov, who signed a one-year deal with the Oilers for $1.7 million, debuted Monday in Edmonton, replacing Devan Dubnyk in a 5-1 loss to Chicago. Bryzgalov stopped four shots from Weber in the first period, but Weber had only one shot in the second before the puck hit him in the face. "Obviously if we lose our captain, its always hard and we hope hes OK and hopefully he gets back soon," Predators defenceman Roman Josi said. Bryzgalov had a nice pad save on Predators forward Mike Fisher in the final minutes to finish off his 31st career shutout and second against the Predators. NOTES: The Oilers are 4-5-2 when scoring first. Nashville dropped to 2-10-0 when the opponent scores first. ... Bryzgalov improved to 10-6-3 against the Predators. ... The Oilers are 5-1-0 when leading after two periods, and Nashville is 0-11-0 when trailing after two. ... Nugent-Hopkins has seven points in the last four games. ... It was Nashvilles fourth game on Thanksgiving and first since 2007. The Predators won the first three on their own ice. ... Nashville is 2-2-0 in the second of back-to-back games this season. Nike Air Max 1 Outlet Sale . Louis Blues were workmanlike, methodical and -- most of all -- effective on Monday night. Nike Air Max 1 Discount . Adam LaRoche will take that. "I like our position in the standings and I like how our team is playing," LaRoche said after Washington swept a day-night doubleheader from the Cubs on Saturday. http://www.cheapairmax1outlet.com/ . - Jerome Verrier scored the winner 8:24 into overtime and Louis-Phillip Guindon stopped 46 shots as the Drummondville Voltigeurs edged the host Val-dOr Foreurs 4-3 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action. FRISCO, Texas -- Canadian womens head coach John Herdmann says hes tired of seeing his team lose to the United States. Winless against its arch rival since 2001, Canada dropped its latest contest -- a friendly between the two nations on Friday night -- 1-0 on a goal by Canadian-born Sydney Leroux. "Were disappointed because were sick of saying good try, well done, and we battled hard," Herdmann said. "At some point weve got to beat this team and if its not now, then when? And hopefully its (at the Womens World Cup) in 2015." Leroux, who is a U.S. citizen, scored in the 78th minute to break a scoreless tie against Canada and give the U.S. the victory in both teams 2014 opener. It was Lerouxs fourth goal in the past three games, with two of them coming against the country of her birth. "I love to watch her," Herdmann said. "Shes a phenomenal player and shes great to watch ... and she scores against us. Ive just told her (after the game) to stop doing that, man. You do it against anyone else but not us." The game looked as if it was going to be a scoreless draw before Lerouxs late offence, largely thanks to strong play by Canadian goalkeeper Erin McLeod and no clear goal chances for the U.S. "I always hope that were going to get one," said Leroux, who was stopped several times in the first half. "Thats kind of how we play, and we push to the very last second. Im just happy that we came out on top of the game 1-0. It was a good game. It was physical and Im glad we came out on top." The Americans sent plenty of chances into the zone, but McLeod calmly caught and parried several crosses. But in the 78th minute, a bit of nifty footwork gave the U.S. the lead. Becky Sauerbrunn started a run with the ball outside the 18-yard box, fed the ball to substitute Christen Press and then immediately got it back, going towward the right post. Air Max 1 Online Shop. Press then weaved a pass through McLeod and defenders Kadeisha Buchanan and Sura Yekka to find Leroux waiting all alone 3 yards. Leroux one-timed the ball with the inside of her left foot for the game-winner. The Americans extended their home unbeaten streak to 78 games (68-0-10). The U.S., ranked No. 1 in the world, also remains undefeated under second-year coach Tom Sermanni (14-0-3), and is a perfect 11-0 all time when playing in Texas. The win marks a strong start to a World Cup qualifying year for the Americans. CONCACAF qualifying is at the end of the year, and the U.S. should be favourites to emerge out of the region. Canada, the hosts the 2015 Womens World Cup, automatically qualifies for the tournament. The 20,862 fans at FC Dallas home stadium were the largest crowd since 2003. "I was a bit anxious about this game because we havent played a game for a long time," said Sermanni, whose team hadnt played since a 4-1 victory against Brazil. "The players have had time off. Canada has played some international recently." The Americans thought they took the lead in the 38th minute when defender Whitney Engen popped in a headed pass, but she was called offside by about 6 yards. Canadian midfielder Josee Belanger took possession at the top of the U.S. zone moments after Engens offside and dinked the ball through two American defenders to Diana Matheson. U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo cut down the angle and Mathesons cross-body chip from about 6 yards trickled past the far post to preserve the scoreless half. It was Solos only test of the first half, and she didnt have to make a save until diving to her right in the 87th minute to stop Jonelle Filigno and preserve the shutout. "You know theyre going to score," Herdmann said. "Ive never known a game where the U.S. doesnt score." WINNIPEG -- Loui Eriksson didnt look out of place on a line with new Boston Bruins teammates Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. Derrick Thomas Jersey . And he looked even better in overtime when he sent a high shot past goalie Ondrej Pavelec to give the Bruins a 3-2 pre-season victory against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday. "It was definitely nice to be able to score one, and it was one in overtime, too, so its nice," said Eriksson, who was acquired from Dallas in July in a seven-player deal. Ryan Spooner and Eriksson went down the ice together and Spooner sent a pass across to Eriksson, who moved the puck with his skate onto his stick to set up his first goal of the pre-season 1:46 in OT. Spooner and Patrice Bergeron also scored for the Bruins. Devon Setoguchi and Mark Scheifele had Winnipegs two power-play goals. Niklas Svedberg stopped 26 shots for the Bruins, who improved their exhibition record to 5-1-0. Pavelec faced 33 shots for the Jets (1-3-3). The teams play a rematch Friday in Saskatoon. Eriksson predicted chemistry can develop with Bergeron and Marchand. "Sometimes it feels really good, sometimes a little bit worse, but thats why you have these games," Eriksson said. "We had some good chances today again, but we need to step it up a little bit more." The teams were tied 1-1 heading into the third period after a scoreless second at MTS Centre. Bergeron had the games first goal when he took a feed from Marchand and put a close, low shot past Pavelec at 3:54 of the first period for his first goal of the pre-season. The veteran centre spent the off-season recovering from not one, but four injuries after Boston lost last years Stanley Cup final in six games to Chicago. During the final, Bergeron played some games with a broken rib, torn rib cartilage and a separated shoulder. He later found out he also had a collapsed lung. Winnipeg had a good chance to tie the game shortly after Bergerons goal when highly touted defensive prospect Jacob Trouba blasted a shot from just inside the blue-line. However, Bruins centre Gregory Campbell splayed on the ice to block the shot. Campbell broke his right leg in Game 3 of Bostons sweep of Pittsburgh in last years Eastern Conference final. Jets coach Claude Noel saw some positive things in the loss, especially with a pair of the teams top prospects. That included blue-liner Trouba, whos battling for a spot on the roster. "For a 19-year-old player, he makes good decisions," Noel said of the teams 2012 first-round pick (ninth overall). "He plays hard, he plays a lot of minutes and makes a lot of good decisions." Scheifele had some trouble early in the game, but picked it up and contributed with his first goal of the pre-season. "The goal was a relief for Mark and was a big play at a key time for us," Noel said of the clubs seventh overall pick in the 2011 draft. Winnipeg went up 2-1 on Scheifeles power-play goal at 4:21 of the third period. Eric Tangradi dumped in a long shot that bounced off the end boards on the glove side of Svedberg. Scheifele picked up the puck, cut in front of Svedberg and flipped a backhand shot past the netminder. Boston only let the lead stand for two minutes after Matt Fraser stood in front of Pavelec and Spooners shot went into the net at 6:22. The Bruins had outshot the Jets 30-27 after regulation. Notes: Boston scratched veterans Jarome Iginla, Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Zdeno Chara. Winnipeg sat its top line of Andrew Ladd, Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler, who has a minor injury. Dwyane Wade took over in the fourth quarter.Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - There were plenty of money signs flashed in Sundays game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns. Not one was made by the player associated with the gesture, Johnny Manziel. The Cleveland rookie quarterbacks first career NFL start was a dud as the Browns were shut out 30-0 by the AFC North-leading Bengals. Jeremy Hill had 148 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries and Giovani Bernard amassed 79 yards on the ground for the Bengals (9-4-1), who produced points on each of their first four drives and remain a half-game ahead of Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the division standings. Were still in control of everything, said Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton. We got to understand that. We know these next two (games) are gonna be big. Dalton completed 14-of-24 passes for 117 yards with one interception for Cincinnati, which won its fourth straight road game to tie a club record for the most consecutive wins away from home within a season. The Browns (7-7), in an effort to keep their fading playoff hopes alive, switched from Brian Hoyer to Manziel to spark the offense. However, the quarterback change didnt have the impact coach Mike Pettine was hoping on Sunday. Manziel was 10-of-18 for 80 yards with two first-half interceptions. A handful of Cincinnati players flashed the former Heisman Trophy winners signature money sign to the FirstEnergy Stadium crowd. Nobody wants to win (in the locker room) more than I do, and its tough to come out there and lay an egg like that, Manziel saidd. DeAnthony Thomas Jersey. Im not using the rookie excuse. I needed to play better. Cleveland, which has lost three in a row, totaled only 107 yards on offense and had six three-and-outs. Cincinnati scored a touchdown on the games opening drive after being held to three points and 165 yards by Cleveland on Nov. 6. Dalton, who had a passer rating of 2.0 in the home loss to the Browns, hit A.J. Green on a slant to convert a 4th-and-4 from the Cleveland 32 on a 14-play series that ended with 2-yard touchdown run by Hill. There was also a rouging-the-passer penalty called on linebacker Barkevious Mingo on a third-down incompletion that extended the drive. The Bengals went on to build a 20-0 halftime lead. Mike Nugent bookended a 16-yard touchdown run by Hill with a pair of 44-yard field goals. Cleveland was in field goal range late in the second quarter, but Manziel was picked off in the end zone by Adam Jones. In the third quarter, Dalton kept it on a 4th-and-1, then completed a 13- yard pass to Bernard on 3rd-and-8 before the drive stalled. Nugent connected from 34 yards to make it 23-0. Rex Burkhead ran for a 10-yard touchdown with 23 seconds left in the game for Cincinnatis final score. Game Notes Manziel is Clevelands 21st starting quarterback since 1999 ... Cleveland defensive backs Joe Haden (shoulder) and Justin Gilbert (head) both left the game and did not return ... The Browns had just five first downs ... (SportsNetwork. Cheap Air Max Plus Nz .com) - A pair of struggling Metropolitan Division clubs will try to record a win before the Christmas break, as the New Jersey Devils host the Carolina Hurricanes in Tuesdays clash at Prudential Center. Carolina and the Devils enter this tilt as the bottom two teams in the division and they have combined for only a total of five victories in December. New Jersey has owned the Hurricanes in recent matchups, winning four straight and five of the last six encounters, including a 2-1 win in Raleigh on Dec. 8. The Devils have claimed seven of the past nine meetings in the Garden State. The Hurricanes, who are in the Eastern Conference cellar with 22 points, have lost eight of their last nine games and were recently swept by the New York Rangers in a home-and-home series. Carolina earned a point in the home portion when it dropped a shootout decision against the Rangers on Saturday, but the Canes then lost 1-0 in regulation the following night in New York City. The Hurricanes fired only 18 shots at Cam Talbot on Sunday and Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh scored the games only goal just 4:10 into the first period. Anton Khudobin played well for Carolina in the loss, making 30 saves. He is 0-8-2 this season and hasnt won since April 13. We struggle to score, period. When you get a good goaltending performance, youd like to get a point, if not two, out of it, head coach Bill Peters said. Dobby (Khudobin) has done that for us a few times this year, but unfortunately we havent scored enough for him. Its frustrating, for sure. Cam Ward expects to be back in net tonight for Carolina. He is 9-14-2 with a 2.79 goals against average against New Jersey for his career. Sundays loss was the fourth straight road setback for the Canes, who have a dismal 3-13-2 record as the guest this season. Carolina will complete a three- game road trip when it faces Tampa Bay on Saturday. The Devils lost for the sixth time in seven games on Saturday when they lost a 4-0 home decision against Washington. New Jersey is 1-2-0 on a four-game homestand and just 4-6-4 as the host on the season. Nicklas Backstrom scored a pair of goals and Alex Ovechkin notched a highlight-reel tally to help the Capitals cruise to Saturdays win in Newark. Cory Schneider was back in the net for the Devils, who were coming off a 3-2 shootout win over Tampa Bay behind rookie Keith Kinkaids first NHL win on Friday night. Schneider, who has started 31 of 34 games for New Jersey this season, finished with 17 saves. Wed all like to be more consistent, from me on out, said Schneider. I think as a group we can all be better every night. Schneider is 4-1-0 with a 1.81 GAA in five career games against the Hurricanes. New Jersey is hoping to get forward Mike Cammalleri back tonight after he sat out the last four games with a lower-body injury. Cammalleri, who leads the Devils with 11 goals, practiced on Monday and is questionable for tonight. Fellow forwards Patrik Elias and Martin Havlat sat out Mondays practice due to illness. Both players are being tested for them mumps, a disease that has touched many NHL teams this season, including New Jersey. Air Max Plus Nz Cheap . "This isnt really the week you want to lose Chris Greaves," fellow lineman Glenn January said Wednesday after practice. Greaves is expected to miss several weeks after suffering a knee injury in last weeks 36-28 win over the Ottawa Redblacks. Cordaro Howard will replace the veteran lineman, which has other implications for coach Mike OShea since Howard is an import and Greaves is a Canadian. "Whenever you play a team like this that runs a lot of different games and blitzes you want to have a guy that youve had a lot of experience with," January added. "But Cordaros done a good job making sure that hes in the film room ... when were getting some extra time in and making sure we understand what we need to do." OShea gives a lot of respect to Montreals defence and so does quarterback Drew Willy. "They like to bring pressure, they keep on coming and coming and coming, theyre relentless ... (linebacker) Chip Cox is defensive player of the year (for 2013) but theyve got a lot of good players," said OShea. Willy spent two seasons as a backup in Saskatchewan before joining the Blue Bombers. "Theyve (had) a great defence ever since Ive been in the league and before that they won a couple of Grey Cups," said Willy. "Weve been doing our homework all week and know weve got to play a great game." Winnipegs offensive line has been doing a decent job helping Willy make a solid debut in his first season as the No.. But its those two wins that really please fans, starved for success after last years 3-15 finish. Only the Edmonton Eskimos are even with the Bombers at 2-0 and they too are bouncing back from a tough 2013 that saw them win only one more game than Winnipeg. Injuries arent helping in the Bombers pursuit of a third win. Defensive lineman Zach Anderson definitely wont be going to Montreal, OShea said. Safety Moe Leggetts status is uncertain -- Johnny Sears lined up there during Wednesdays practice -- and hurting wide receiver Aaron Kelly will be going but how much hell play is a question mark. The team is taking along Canadian Brett Carter as a backup. Kelly not only leads the Bombers with his 163 receiving yards after two games, he sits second in the CFL behind Torontos Chad Owens. OShea said Kelly hurt his knee in practice this week and left Wednesdays session early, but still expects to be able to play Friday. Carter, meanwhile, is a former Winnipeg Rifles receiver who got to work out with the team last season and even dressed for a July game, then spent the rest of the season on the practice roster. He got a late invite back to camp this season to continue his quest. "Its a crazy roller-coaster ride that I was on and it would definitely be great to start and have that opportunity but well see what the coach has to say," he said after running some first-team routes when Kelly left the field Wednesday. CLEVELAND -- The Baltimore Ravens arent letting anything distract them from winning. Wholesale Air Max 97 . While there are still questions about how their handling of Ray Rices case, its clear the Ravens havent changed -- on the field. With Rices troubling situation lingering over them, they pulled off a comeback win Sunday as Justin Tucker kicked a 32-yard field goal as time expired to give Baltimore a 23-21 win over the Cleveland Browns. Tuckers boot capped another challenging week for the Ravens (2-1), who continue to be dogged by their management of Rices domestic violence arrest and suspension. But for the second straight game, the Ravens blocked out any external noise and knocked off another division rival. Ravens coach John Harbaugh is impressed with his teams ability to focus on the task at hand. "The best way to silence it (distractions) is handle it with class," he said. "Theres always going to be in life, challenges and attacks and consequences and all those kinds of things that well talk about Im sure probably this week and ongoing forever. You just gotta stand up, be accountable and be who you are and try to stand for the right things. "And our guys do that." Joe Flacco set up Tuckers game-winner with a 32-yard pass to Steve Smith with 1:28 left. Smith beat Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden before hauling in Flaccos pass and taking it to Clevelands 13. The Ravens ran the clock down before bringing in Tucker, who split the uprights and sent the Browns (1-2) to another tough loss. It was the kind of play the Ravens expected from Smith, signed as a free agent in the off-season. And, it was typical Flacco, who finished 19 of 31 for 217 yards with one touchdown. "We call him, Joe Cool," Smith said. "Throughout the whole game, good or bad, Joe stays the same." The Browns blew several chances to put the Ravens away in the second half. Cleveland missed a field goal, had one blocked, committed 12 penalties and wide receiver rookie Taylor Gabriel fell after catching a long pass from Brian Hoyer, failing to score what should have been an easy touchdown. "Its going to be a long two weeks," Hoyer said. "I know were going to watch this film and be mad at ourselves. We had some opportunities to put this game away and we didnt do it. Its on us." Following the game, Harbaugh addressed an ESPN report that claims he wanted the team to immediately release Rice in February after he was arrested for punching his then-fiancee. The report says Harbaugh was overruled by owner Steve Bisciotti and general manager Ozzie Newsome. "I can tell you this, we work together in our organization," Harbaugh said. "Every single football decision we make, we work together. You get together, you hash it out. Everybodys got their opinions. Its not black and white. Its never nuanced on anything. That decision was exactly like all the other ones. When we walk out of that room, we are united." Harbaugh said he thought the team handled the case the right way. "I felt like we did the right thing and I stand behind it." Hoyer completed 19 of 25 passes for 290 yards. Along with the blown opportunities, the Browns had a fake play in which backup quarterback Johnny Manziel fooled Baltimores defence negated by a penalty. Manziel started to leave the field and pretended to have a conversation with offensive co-ordinator Kyle Shanahan. The Browns quickly snapped the ball and Hoyer threw a pass to Manziel for a 39-yard gain, but the play was brought back by an illegal shift. "It worked pretty well," Manziel said. "They didnt see it coming. Unfortunately we got a penalty on it." Ravens rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro rushed for 91 yards and one TD. He filled in for Bernard Pierce -- Rices replacement-- who sat out with a thigh injury. Smith had five catches for 101 yards. Not everything went Baltimores way. Tight end Dennis Pitta was taken to a hospital after he appeared to sustain a serious hip injury in the first half. Pitta, who played in just four games last season after dislocating his right hip in training camp, went down without being touched after catching a pass. The Ravens didnt have a postgame update on Pitta, but his teammates were concerned for him. "Hes a good friend, hes a good teammate and hes a hell of a player," Flacco said. "No matter who it is, its tough to see that happen, especially when it looks like it might be serious." NOTES: Harbaugh and Flacco improved to 12-1 vs. the Browns. ... SURREY, B. Air Max 90 Uk Online .C. -- Stefan Logan had no idea the B.C. Lions running game had fallen on hard times when he contacted his old employer looking for work. The diminutive running back/kick returner spent the last four seasons in the NFL, but didnt get invited to a training camp this year after being cut by the Detroit Lions. Thats when Logan, who played for B.C. in 2008 and was working out on his own, reached out to Lions general manager Wally Buono. "It was just one of those times where I knew I was older and I didnt want to sit there and be waiting, waiting, waiting," said Logan, who was on the field with his new teammate Tuesday after being added to the practice roster. "I didnt want to sit there and just be waiting -- waiting for a team to call." The team that Logan called is one with a ground attack in shambles. After B.C. running back Andrew Harris rushed for just 10 yards in a 31-17 home loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Oct. 4, Buono told reporters at practice: "Our running game, at this point, is almost non-existent." Despite both coaches and players saying all the right things last week about a rededication to running to the football, Harris followed that up with just 31 yards on nine carries in Fridays 40-26 defeat to the Stampeders in Calgary. The Lions have not had a 100-yard rusher since Harris gained 107 yards in a 38-12 loss to the Toronto Argonauts on July 30 -- a span of 10 games. During that time Harris has rushed for 10 yards twice, to go along with totals of 19, 27 and 38. Logan said he was unaware of the poor numbers, adding that he contacted the Lions because they were the only CFL team he had interest in playing for. "I didnt even look at any of the stats. Nothing," said the 32-year-old. "I just knew that when I talked to my agent and talked to my family, I said, If I go back to Canada, I want to go back to the B.C. Lions. "They were familiar with me, I was familiar with them. Still got some of the same guys that were here (from 2008). Once I called them, I was like, Hey I want to come back over there and play." Logan rushed for 889 yards during his previous stint with B.C., while also contributing 477 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He also made an impact on special teams, returning 12 punts for 126 yards, and adding 266 yards on nine kick returns. After his inaugural season in the CFL, Logan headed south to join the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he spent one year before joining Detroit for three more campaigns. "Hes obviously still got it. Its an exciting thing," said Lions quarterback Thomas DeMarco. "Management seems to think its a good decision to bring him in and I can see why." B.C. head coach Mike Benevides said he doesnt know if Logan will suit up for Saturdays game when the Lions (9-6) travel to Saskatchewan to take on the Roughriders (10-5) in a key West Division matchup. One thing Benevides is sure of is Logans desire. "The biggest thing about Stefan is just his passion for the game," said Benevides. "He just loves the game. He loves being here, and he loves this place and thats why he chose to come here. "Right now were going to do everything we can to win, because weve got to win." Logan said he will do whatever is asked of him by a Lions team looking to snap a two-game slide that has them in danger of falling out of the running to host a home playoff game. "If were struggling at running the ball, I want to help," said Logan, who was named to the 2010 NFC Pro Bowl team as an alternate. "If were struggling at catching the ball out of the backfield, I want to be able to help. "Im not coming in to be cocky or anything like that, I just want to come in and help us win and go to the playoffs and win a Grey Cup." Follow Joshua Clipperton on Twitter at (at)josh--clipperton Notes: DeMarco looks set to start his fifth straight game in place of injured No. 1 quarterback Travis Lulay (shoulder). Lulay has resumed throwing, but neither he or Benevides would put a timeline on his return. ... Apart from the addition of Logan, the Lions also announced that defensive tackle Mykes Wade and offensive tackle Nyere Aumaitre have joined the practice roster. Air Max 90 Uk Sale . The weekend at Oriole Park has been less kind, with three players suffering varying degrees of injury. The worst ailment of the three, at least optically, is the deep bone bruise suffered by Adam Lind when he fouled a pitch off the top of his right foot in the sixth inning of Saturdays game. Cheap Air Max 90 Sale .500. The Jets have now won nine of their last 11, and five of their last six road games. With the win they moved to within two points of Vancouver in the west, the Canucks holding down the eighth spot. Vancouver lost in Boston, while the other big game saw Dallas win in Phoenix. http://www.airmax90ukcheap.com/ . -- The Minnesota Vikings released reserve cornerback A.SOUTHAMPTON, Bermuda -- Masters champion Adam Scott broke the course record at Port Royal with a 7-under 64 to win the PGA Grand Slam of Golf by two shots over U.S. Open champion Justin Rose on Wednesday. Trailing by four shots with 10 holes to play, Scott pulled ahead of his good friend for the first time with a 6-iron that settled inches from the cup on the par-5 17th for a tap-in eagle. Rose pulled his approach and had to settle for par. "Obviously, Im thrilled to come out on top," Scott said. "Fun -- but a trying couple of days here, really, especially today. Standing on the 11th tee, didnt look like a score like that was going to be possible. But I played very well and managed to slowly claw away at Justin." Rose, who opened with a 67, had a 69 in the 36-hole exhibition for the four major champions of the year. Scott finished at 8-under 134 in his first trip to Bermuda. He won a pink jacket to go along with the green jacket he won at Augusta. A 6-iron was also the club Scott used on the second playoff hole at Augusta National when he defeated Angel Cabrera -- but this one came from a new set. Scott replaced his irons for the Presidents Cup two weeks ago. "So this ones got some good stuff in it, too," he said. U.S. PGA champion Jason Dufner, who starrted two shots behind, fell off the pace quickly and was never a serious threat. Air Max 90 Uk Cheap. He closed with a 70 to finish alone in third, five shots behind. Padraig Harrington, a three-time major winner, shot 71 to finish eight behind. As the defending champion, Harrington was first alternate to replace British Open champion Phil Mickelson, who chose not to play. Rose had a two-shot lead going into the final day and ran off four birdies to double the lead. Scott stayed in range with three birdies, and then the Australian played mistake-free in tough conditions on the back nine to rally for the win. Scott made birdie on No. 13, and then holed a 20-foot birdie on the 15th after Roses attempt from 30 feet narrowly missed. "I started with a two-shot lead and somebody had to shoot well to beat me," Rose said. "When youre in that position you want to close it out. But when somebody finishes it out like that, you have to tip your hat and say you were beaten rather than losing. He was 4-under the last six, so thats a strong finish." For setting the course record at Port Royal -- Lucas Glover had a 65 in 2009 -- the premier of Bermuda offered Scott an honorary membership at the course. "Do I get to keep it if someone beats it next year?" Scott replied. NEW YORK - Sometimes a little bit of confidence goes a long way. Nike Shox Cheap Wholesale . Looking at the standings - where the Raptors sit atop the woeful Atlantic Division - wins in Dallas and Oklahoma City count just the same as less impressive victories over the 76ers and Jazz. Internally, those triumphs have meant everything to this young, impressionable Raptors team. Whether theyre facing a late-game deficit, protecting a lead, or staring down one of the leagues elite teams, the Raptors believe they can win. "It does give you confidence to know you went out and beat [some] of the best teams in the league on their home floor," Dwane Casey said before his team rallied back to defeat the division-rival Knicks, 95-83 at Madison Square Garden on Friday. "That should help us know that hey, you can do it." Having played 36 minutes of lackluster, uninspired basketball against an undermanned club that was nearly as lethargic, the Raptors looked like a team that believed, that knew they could flip on the switch when it mattered most. Trailing by as many as 12 points in the third quarter, Toronto held the Knicks to 5-of-19 shooting in the fourth, outscoring the home team 29-12 in the final frame. Once again, the Raptors showed supreme confidence in the face of adversity on the road. They found a way to win, a notable step for a franchise that has historically found creative ways to lose. "You definitely feel good once youre winning games," said DeMar DeRozan, who led the Raptors with 25 points, including eight in the pivotal fourth quarter. "You gain all the confidence game-in and game-out, especially playing all these teams, knowing we could beat them." "We understand were never out of the game until that last second runs out of the clock. It definitely helps, because last year we were in a ton of late-game situations we couldnt pull out. Wed kind of fold, get frustrated, let a big shot frustrate us. Now we dont let any of that frustrate us." The difference is noticeable. A year ago, the Raptors were 3-36 when trailing after three quarters. Two months into the season, they already have four comeback victories. Most impressively, Toronto is the NBAs third-best fourth-quarter team in terms of point differential. Outscoring opponents by 59 points in the final period, the Raptors rank behind Indiana and Miami, the cream of the crop in the Eastern Conference. “I think weve got some good closers," Kyle Lowry said after a 15-point, 11-assist performance, his 19th straight game with six or more dimes. "I think weve got guys who dont care about the moment, they just want to win games." Confidence has been the most crucial factor in the continued development of franchise centrepiece Jonas Valanciunas, who had a coming out party on the NBAs biggest stage Friday. Facing Tyson Chandler, one of the leagues toughest match-ups at his position, the Raptors sophomore registered a career-high 18 boards to go along with 16 points. Valanciunas was not fazed by the moment or his competition, he held his ground and played up to it as much or more than he has before. "JV just be all over the place," DeRozan said with a chuckle. "Sometimes weve just got to tell him to calm down. He just wants it that bad. Youve got to love having a guy like that on your team." Lowry has been as tough on the 21-year-old as anyone in the organization. Routinely reprimanding him after missed assignments or botched pick-and-rolls, even Lowry sees and applauds the growth of the Raptors prized second-year centre. "It just makes me proud because Im on him more than everybody but when he does well I congratulate him and I appreciate what he does," Lowry said of Valanciunas. "I just want to see him be the best player he can be." "Ill buy him dinner one day," the veteran point guard joked. For Valanciunas, it was a big night, whether he cares to admit it or not. The witty, albeit soft-spoken, seven footer refused to bite on questions regarding his individual performance after the game. "I was just playing my game, Im trying to help the team," he maintained. "Thats all I do every game." "Im not trying to show swagger or something. Im a simple guy and Im just trying to play hard." Like the sinking Atlantic Division itself, one of these teams was going to win this game and through three quarters, that seemed like a maddening thought. Both teams got off to a sluggish start, especially the Raptors, coming off a brief Christmas break earlier this week. Toronto shot 38 per cent from the field and committed 10 turnovers in the first half before tightening the screws in the third quarter and running away with the game in the fourth. "We were playing in mud in the first half," Casey said. "Our effort was there it was just one of those games where we couldnt get going and I think it was a little bit because of the break, coming back, trying to get things going. We turned it on in the second half and its good to be able to not play your best game and still come out with the win against a very powerful offensive team in New York." The Knicks are a sinking ship, desperately trying to stay afloat in the division for as long as injuries remain a viable excuse for their failures. Carmelo Anthony, the NBAs second-leading scorer, missed Fridays game with an ankle injury and will not travel to Toronto for the back end of a home-and-home set with the Raptors Saturday. In many ways, Fridays game was the epitome of what has become the leagues most ridiculed division. More often than not it was painful to watch. As the Knicks, last seasons division champions, were booed off their home court it became clear; these are two teams headed in opposite directions. One with more confidence than theyve had in some time, the other losing hope with each passing day. Nike Shox Clearance Wholesale . However, it wasnt a problem on Monday night. Evgeni Nabokov made 23 saves for his 56th career shutout in the New York Islanders 3-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. Nike Shox Sale Outlet . Mike Ribeiro had a goal and an assist as Phoenix held on to snap a two-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Friday. http://www.cheapnikeshoxireland.com/ .C. -- After a listless first half, the Washington Wizards used a big third quarter run to beat the Charlotte Bobcats Bradley Beal scored 21 points and the Wizards used a 17-0 run in the third quarter to take control of what had been a close game and beat the Bobcats 97-83 on Tuesday night.MIAMI -- The first airborne banner calling for Jeff Ireland to be fired flew over the Miami Dolphins stadium in 2011. Other similar signs followed, most recently in November, and on Tuesday those wanting him out finally got their wish. Irelands six-year stint as general manager ended with a brief announcement that he and owner Stephen Ross mutually agreed to part ways. The Dolphins said they would conduct an immediate search for a replacement to lead football operations. A late-season flop kept Miami out of the playoffs for a fifth consecutive year, and Ireland has long been considered the main culprit for the franchises failures. More than two dozen frustrated fans gathered outside the Dolphins complex one spring day in 2012 to protest the way the team was being run, with some holding signs that read "FIRELAND." He wasnt fired, but in the wake of last months meltdown, Ross considered hiring a football czar over Ireland and coach Joe Philbin. Ireland was opposed to such an arrangement. "Steve and I came to an agreement that the best thing moving forward for all parties would be to part ways," Ireland said in a statement. "Id like to thank Steve for all his support and kindness. Ive had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people during this time, and Id like to thank them all from the bottom of my heart." Ross said the decision regarding Ireland came after they had a series of discussions. "We both felt that it was in our mutual best interest to part ways," Ross said in a statement. "Jeff was a loyal and dedicated member of the Dolphins and we wish him and his family nothing but the best. Nike Shox Cheap Free Shipping. " Still to be determined is Irelands role in a locker-room bullying scandal that drew national scrutiny. The NFL has yet to release a report on its investigation into the case. Irelands departure follows Mondays firing of offensive co-ordinator Mike Sherman. Philbin will return for a third season, but other changes in his staff are possible. The Dolphins (8-8) would have made the playoffs if they had won one of their final two games against the Bills and Jets. Instead, they were beaten by a combined score of 39-7. Ross spent more than $100 million in guaranteed money last off-season to upgrade the roster, and the investment delivered only slight improvement from a 7-9 record in 2012. Ireland, a protege of Bill Parcells, was hired as general manager in 2008, and the Dolphins won the AFC East in his first season. But they havent been above .500 since, the longest such stretch in franchise history. Irelands personnel decisions have produced mixed results. This season, $60 million newcomer Mike Wallace had a career-low five touchdown catches, but free-agent acquisition Brent Grimes made the Pro Bowl. In 2012, Ireland drafted Ryan Tannehill, who shows signs of becoming the franchise quarterback Miami has sought since Dan Marino retired following the 1999 season. But Irelands 2013 draft picks played the fewest snaps of any team in the NFL, including overall No. 3 choice Dion Jordan, who had only two sacks all year. HAMILTON, Ont. Cheap Wholesale Air Max 720 . -- Aggressive penalty killing paid big dividends for the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Bulldogs scored two short-handed goals, including Patrick Hollands third period winner, to defeat the St. Johns IceCaps 3-2 Friday in their American Hockey League opener. Hamilton head coach Sylvain Lefebvre confirmed that aggression was a priority for his teams penalty killers. "Weve been trying to be aggressive and block shots," Lefebvre said. "You want to get into good habits. Usually, your best penalty-killer is going to be your goalie, and (Hamilton goaltender Dustin) Tokarski was good tonight." The coach saw a lot to like in his teams first effort of the season. "Im really happy with the result," Lefebvre said. "I think it was a character win too. "It was 2-2 after two periods in our own building. The guys found a way, and we scored two short-handed goals tonight. Our power play gave us some momentum." Greg Pateryn and Mike Blunden also scored for Hamilton (1-0-0), while Tokarski stopped 33 of 35 shots. Andrew Gordon and Ben Chiarot had goals for St. Johns (0-1-0), and Eddie Pasquale made 31 saves. Hamilton scored its second short-handed goal of the game to retake the lead for good at 5:15 of the third period. Holland was sprung on a lone break through the middle, and successfully eluded the only defender in front of him before slipping a weak shot through the legs of Pasquale. "When youre one-on-one and short-handed, you really have nothing to lose," Holland said. "You just have to try to make a play and get a good shot on net. "The puck went under that defencemans stick, and at that point I knew that there wasnt much I could do other than go five-hole." The IceCaps had a golden opportunity to level the game with eight minutes to play in the third when Josh Lunden found himself alone in the low slot with only Tokarski to beat. But Lundens wrist shot clanged off the far post and bounced to safety. The Bulldogs opened the scoring at the 4:26 mark of the opening period while short-handed. Pateryn and Blunden broke down the right wing and worked a give-and-go to perfection. Two defenders flocked to Blunden and he sent a centring pass to Pateryn, who snapped a hard shot over Pasquales shoulder. The IceCaps tied the game on a power play. Brendan Kitching sent a pass across to the blue-line to his defence partner Gordon, who let go a low slap shot that passed the screening Jason Jaffray in and eluded Tokarski at 10:01 of the first period. Tokarski made a flurry of saves to preserve the tie with a minute to play in the period. He dropped into a butterfly to knock away a shot through traffic, and sprawled to his right to deny an attempt on the rebound. Blunden gave Hamilton a 2-1 lead at 1:55 of the second period, receiving a pass along the boards from Joonas Nattinen and walking to the right faceoff dot before releasing a heavy wrist shot than Pasquale could only watch as it passed over his shoulder. But Hamiltons second lead, much like its first, was short-lived. IceCaps defenceman Ben Chiarot took control of the puck along the red-line, and moved to the slot before back-handing a shot over Tokarskis outstretched glove to tie the game at two at 5:41 of the second. Tokarski produced a timely save to exuse his teammates mistake with four minutes to play in the second period. The Bulldogs were tiring in the middle of a shift extended by an icing, and the goaltender slid to his left to turn aside a point-blank wrist shot and stop play.
