The Jaguars are expected to give second-round pick Jawaan Taylor every opportunity to win the starting right tackle job. But free agent Cedric Ogbuehi is taking all the first-team reps at the position in the team’s organized team activities.Unprompted Michael Jordan Jersey 2019 , offensive coordinator John DeFilippo praised Ogbuehi’s work this week. “Cedric Ogbuehi is moving really, really well right now and playing well,” DeFilippo said, via Daniel Popper of TheAthletic.com. “Guys like that, I don’t want to say surprised you because I saw what he did on tape. It wasn’t really surprising, but it’s been pleasant to see his athleticism.” The Bengals made Ogbuehi a first-round draft choice in 2015, and he started 25 of the 35 games he played in four seasons. Twelve of his starts were at right tackle. His competition — Will Richardson, a fourth-round pick last year who injured his knee in October, and Taylor — have combined for zero NFL snaps. Cornerback Alterraun Verner announced his retirement from football in a post on his instagram account on Monday night.“I want to officially announce my retirement from the NFL Jason Taylor Jersey ,” Verner wrote. “I had a great eight-year run. I would not trade my experiences for the world. God has been so good to me while in the NFL. Allowing myself to compete against the best of the best. I am truly thankful I was given the opportunity that so many others were not able to achieve.”Verner was a fourth-round pick of the Tennessee Titans out of UCLA in 2010. Despite his mid-round status, Verner quickly moved into a starting role just four weeks into his rookie season. He would start 72 out of 125 career games for the Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins.Verner did not play in the league last season after appearing in 15 games for the Dolphins in 2017.Verner made the Pro Bowl in 2013 and was named a second-team All-Pro after nabbing a career-high five interceptions for Tennessee. The Cardinals traded Josh Rosen to the Dolphins the day after drafting Kyler Murray to replace him Nat Moore Jersey , but Rosen is handling the situation with class.Rosen offered a goodbye message to Arizona on Instagram.“Cardinals fans, thank you so much for all the continued support this past year. An awesome two-bedroom in Old Town just came on the market so let me know if you’re interested and I think I can get you a pretty good deal Adam Joseph Duhe Jersey ,” Rosen said.It was a warm and funny way to say goodbye, one that’s going to endear Rosen to Arizona fans and make Miami fans think they’ve just landed an easy player to cheer for.

NEW YORK (AP) — For the past 2½ months Youth David Long Jersey , one thing has been clear in the NFL: Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are hard to stop. The Saints’ winning streak reached 10 games with their 31-17 victory over Atlanta on Thanksgiving night. The Saints will play their second consecutive Thursday night game when they open Week 13 by facing the Dallas Cowboys. And it’s not the least bit surprising that the surging Saints kept the No. 1 spot in the latest AP Pro32 poll. They received all 12 first-place votes and 384 points in balloting Tuesday by media members who regularly cover the NFL.“Right here, right now, Drew Brees is this year’s MVP in a very crowded field of contenders,” Newsday’s Bob Glauber said. “At almost 40 years old, he’s playing perhaps his best football, with 29 touchdown passes and just two interceptions.”The league’s other 10-1 team, the Los Angeles Rams, stayed at No. 2 after its bye week. And the Kansas City Chiefs, who also were on a bye last week, remained No. 3.Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are still No. 4 after disposing of the New York Jets 27-13.The only change in the top five was the Chicago Bears, who inched up a spot to No. 5 after topping the Lions 23-16 on Thanksgiving as backup quarterback Chase Daniel threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns in place of the injured Mitchell Trubisky. The Los Angeles Chargers jumped two places to No. 6 after dominating Arizona 45-10 as Philip Rivers tied the NFL mark for consecutive completions at 25 and the broke record for the most to start a game. And the Houston Texans, who have won eight in a row after a 0-3 start, remained No. 7 after topping the Tennessee Titans 34-17 on Monday night.“The surging Texans honored late owner Bob McNair with an eighth consecutive victory behind a powerful ground game and the usual stingy defense Womens David Long Jersey ,” said Ira Kaufman of Fox 13 in Tampa, Florida. The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped three spots to No. 8 after their 24-17 loss at Denver.“Big Ben blows the game in Denver,” Fox Sports’ John Czarnecki said of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who threw for 462 yards but had two interceptions and now has 12 for the season. They will look to rebound Sunday night when they host the Chargers, who are expected to be without running back Melvin Gordon, who sprained the medial collateral ligament in his right knee during the rout of the Cardinals. The Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks, who are both in contention for wild-card spots in the NFC, each moved up a spot to Nos. 9 and 10.Among the teams making the biggest drop was the Cincinnati Bengals, who plummeted five spots to No. 24. They have lost five of six after a 4-1 start and will finish the season without quarterback Andy Dalton, who went on injured reserve with a thumb injury to his throwing hand.“The record may not show it, but this could very well be the NFL’s worst team by year’s end,” said Alex Marvez of Sirius XM. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Late in his 13th NFL season, Andrew Whitworth finally got to savor his first playoff victory David Long Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , albeit only for a minute or two. After the burly left tackle briefly celebrated on the Coliseum turf with his wife and children Saturday night, he rushed back to the Los Angeles Rams‘ locker room and reminded his teammates they’ve only completed a third of their postseason work. The 37-year-old Whitworth and the Rams both ended lengthy playoff droughts with their 30-22 win over the Dallas Cowboys, and they realized the importance of their achievement without being satisfied by it.After extending their second straight outstanding season to the NFC championship game, the Rams are determined to seize this chance to go even farther.“It’s great, but you know what? I feel like this team has potential for more than that,” Whitworth said. “It’s a great feeling, and I’m happy to have it, but I didn’t try to get to the playoffs to just win a playoff game. I’m trying to win a Super Bowl. That’s the only focus, and now we’re one step closer.”The Rams (14-3) took this step while following right behind Whitworth. The entire offensive line couldn’t have drawn up a sweeter scenario for this breakthrough win after they punctured the Cowboys’ defense for a franchise playoff-record 273 yards rushing. That’s the most ever allowed in the postseason by the five-time Super Bowl champion Cowboys, who were playing in their NFL-record 63rd postseason game. Dallas was even coming off a wild-card round victory in which it largely shut down Seattle’s NFL-best rushing attack.“I feel like we think we can run the football on anybody,” Whitworth said. “We were confident coming into this game that we could do it.”After a decade of playoff disappointment with the Cincinnati Bengals, Whitworth agreed to join the Rams and a head coach four years younger than him last season because he believed something remarkable could happen in Los Angeles. The way Whitworth and his linemen manhandled Dallas (11-7) at the line of scrimmage was remarkable indeed: The Rams dominated on the ground from the opening drive to C.J. Anderson’s 1-yard TD plunge on fourth-and-goal with 7:16 to play.Anderson rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and Todd Gurley ran for 115 more yards and another TD to send the second-seeded Rams to the NFC championship game for the first time in 17 years.“Big boys played really great up front Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Stitched ,” Anderson said. “Me and Todd just tried to pick the right spots.”The long-struggling Rams had won only one postseason game since their last trip to the Super Bowl in February 2002, but coach Sean McVay has added his first playoff victory to his spectacular two-season franchise turnaround. Los Angeles is one win away from another Super Bowl trip after McVay largely stuck to old-time football basics with his unlikely running back tandem and an offensive line determined to assert its superiority.“It means a lot for this team,” said the 32-year-old McVay, the youngest coach in NFL history to win a playoff game. “That’s what’s special about it is to be able to see guys that have success, talking about a guy like Andrew Whitworth that’s been playing as long as he has. To see him play at the level that he played at tonight, and then to be able to get his first playoff win with these guys, I know he cares so much about and loves these guys.”Next weekend, they will face the winner of the other divisional playoff game in New Orleans between the top-seeded Saints and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.COWBOYS CRACKEDThe Cowboys hadn’t allowed two 100-yard rushers in a playoff game since the NFL-AFL merger. Los Angeles racked up more yards than the Cowboys had allowed on the ground all season, a particular embarrassment for a proud, effective defense.STOPPING ZEKEWhile Anderson and Gurley ran wild, NFL rushing champion Ezekiel Elliott managed just 47 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh both had outstanding games, but the Cowboys blamed themselves for their inability to establish a consistent rushing attack, particularly against the Rams’ run defense David Long T-Shirts Jersey , which had been spotty.“They dominated us up front,” Elliott said. “We didn’t get any movement.”DYNAMIC DUOAnderson joined the Rams last month as an emergency fill-in for Gurley, who injured his knee and missed the final two games. Anderson has a Super Bowl ring from Denver, but he also was released by the Broncos, Carolina and Oakland over the past nine months.Anderson has played three games for Los Angeles, and he rushed for at least 100 yards in all three.Gurley and Anderson became the fourth set of teammates in NFL history to rush for 100 yards apiece in a postseason game while Dallas gave up 200 yards rushing in a playoff game for the first time since Eric Dickerson did it for the Rams in 1986.DROUGHTS CONTINUEDak Prescott passed for 266 yards and rushed for a TD with 2:11 to play, but the Cowboys couldn’t climb out after falling into a 23-7 hole midway through the third quarter. The Cowboys still haven’t won a playoff game on the road in 26 years. After winning the NFC East and beating Seattle last week, Dallas lost in the divisional playoff round for the sixth consecutive time and fell short of its first trip to the NFC championship game since January 1996.“It’s been a great season, all the ups and downs at 3-5 and being counted out,” Prescott said. “Just the way we were able to get back here was inspiring. We had a good team, and when you feel confident about that team and lose, it hurts. We’re a young team. We have a lot of guys with the right makeup to get back here and get to the next round.”

Aiken/Getty ImagesIn 2018, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill broke the franchise single-season record for receiving yards, gaining 1,479 yards on 87 catches. The previous record — 1,391 yards on 78 catches — had been set by Derrick Alexander in the 2000 season.Hill’s 2018 season was just the 16th 1,000-yard receiving season in team history. That’s just what happens when you lack a franchise quarterback for the better part of four decades. But it brings up an interesting question: could Tyreek Hill break the records now held by Otis Taylor? The group of 18I put together a list of 18 Chiefs wide receivers who had at least three seasons with the team (so we could include Hill) and averaged at least 380 yards a season — the average for all Chiefs wideouts since 1960.Greatest Chiefs WRsThis table shows that the great Otis Taylor still leads all Chiefs wide receivers in total receiving yards and touchdowns.Using this metric makes sense on a couple of levels, since it measures both production and longevity with the team.Taylor played for 11 seasons. We see here that Hill wouldn’t have to play very many more seasons in a Chiefs uniform to eclipse Taylor’s records — perhaps as few as three or four. But this is 2019.We use lots more statistics to measure the production of players than we did during the 1960s.Furthermore, seasons are longer, quarterbacks are significantly more accurate and teams emphasize passing more than they did when the Chiefs franchise was in its infancy. If Hill ever breaks Taylor’s records for receiving yards and touchdowns, we’ll probably want to look at some other stats to see how he compares to Taylor in other respects. Then and now, we won’t be able to use modern statistics like yards-per-target and catch percentage Steven Nelson Jersey , because we have data for targets going back only to 1992.But that doesn’t mean we can’t dig a little deeper. One might be tempted to look at receiving yards per season to compare different wide receivers, but modern NFL teams play 16 games.Until the 1970s, AFL and NFL teams played just 14.So it’s better to compare yards per game — and when we compare those figures for these 18 Chiefs wide receivers, we see something interesting.Chiefs WRs -- Yards Per GameHill already leads Taylor in yards per game by a substantial margin. But we know that part of the reason for this is that the modern game emphasizes passing much more, and that quarterbacks are substantially more accurate than they were decades ago.But armed with that information, we get another surprise when we look at yards per catch for our group of 18.Chiefs WRs -- Yards Per CatchIn this metric, Taylor leads Hill by a substantial margin — and Taylor himself trails Carlos Carson by a tiny bit.Again, some of this has to do with the differences in the modern game.Modern teams may emphasize passing more, but with so many teams (including the Chiefs) running variations of West Coast offenses, passes tend to be shorter. In Taylor’s day — and to some extent, even in Carson’s day — when quarterbacks passed Nick Allegretti Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys , they were more likely to air it out.And to Taylor’s credit, his size and physicality allowed him to rack up significant yards after catch — another modern statistic for which we have had no data until recent years. We see something similar when we compare touchdown percentage — that is, the percentage of receptions that result in touchdowns.Chiefs WRs -- TD PercentageOnce again, Taylor leads Hill bya wide margin, and trails another Chiefs great — Chris Burford — by a small amount.Considering that one of Hill’s three seasons to date is the one where Patrick Mahomes threw 50 touchdown passes, this is a bit surprising. But it also says something about how awesome Taylor was in his era. That point is further emphasized when we compare receptions per game.Chiefs WRs -- Catches Per GameYou would expect more modern receivers to have bigger numbers — and except for Burford, most of those at the top of the list are more-recent players. But it also allows us to understand that Taylor didn’t get as many catches as modern receivers do, but still had a larger percentage of touchdown catches. This is precisely why fans who watched Taylor play remember him as an electric presence on the field — and as a player who stood tall (both literally and figuratively) above many of his contemporaries. The bottom lineIf we were talking about any other player who was entering the final year of his rookie contract after setting a franchise record for receiving yards, there likely wouldn’t even be a question about whether he would remain on the team for the next several seasons. But in Hill’s case, it’s unknown what the Chiefs will choose to do with him when the upcoming season concludes.Much will depend on whether Hill is ultimately suspended by the league — and if so, for how long — and also on how fans react when he returns to the field. It’s clear that if Hill remains for the team for another few seasons and continues to produce as he has — particularly with Mahomes at quarterback — he will stand a very good chance to break Otis Taylor’s decades-old records for receiving yards and touchdowns by a Chiefs wide receiver. But as I hope I’ve shown here Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys 2019 , any rightful claim Hill might make on those records shouldn’t overshadow Taylor’s spectacular play during his own time. Kansas City General Manager Brett Veach believed in Patrick Mahomes long before the Chiefs decided to trade up for him in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft. But when he really knew he made the right call was when Mahomes showed up to his rookie training camp and wowed Michael Vick.Chiefs coach Andy Reid invited Vick, whom he coached in Philadelphia, to come to training camp in 2017 and spend some time with the rookies. Veach told today that Vick came away amazed by the things Mahomes could do.“Mike Vick came by for a few days to do some coaching work with our young guys,” Veach recalled. “There were a couple throws Pat made, and I remember being in the film room with Mike and he was like, ‘Did he just do that? I’ve never seen that.’ We were joking, ‘This is Mike Vick!’ A quarterback like Mike Vick says he’s never seen something?”Vick is one of the most impressive athletes ever to play the quarterback position, so it takes a lot to impress him. But Mahomes did it. And now Mahomes is impressing everyone in the NFL.

The NFL met with Britney Taylor on Monday about the allegations of rape and sexual assault that she levied against Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown in a lawsuit last week.Mark Maske of the reports that the meeting with Taylor lasted 10 hours Stephon Gilmore Jerseys 2019 , but it did not end with a decision about placing Brown on the Commissioner-Exempt list. Maske reports there’s no timeline for the league to make their decision because the investigation into Brown’s behavior remains open.Brown was the subject of another accusation of improper conduct with a woman this week. There’s been no word of an attempt to interview that woman or plans to interview anyone else at this point. If Brown is placed on the list, he’ll be paid but will be unable to take part in practices or games. The placement would be indefinite and Brown would be able to appeal the league’s decision. The Patriots return to the field against the Jets on Sunday. If no decision is made to place Brown on the exempt list, he should make his second appearance since signing with the team earlier this month. It's Week 3 of fantasy football. Is your quarterback healthy? The landscape at the position drastically changed with the loss of fantasy stalwarts Drew Brees (thumb, out at least six weeks) and Ben Roethlisberger (elbow, out for remainder of the season). Both the Saints' and Steelers' high-scoring attacks are slowed down, leaving fantasy owners who were reliant on those offenses to seek production elsewhere.START: Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys: The Dolphins were the league's worst fantasy defense against opposing quarterbacks with the now-traded Minkah Fitzpatrick. Even without WR Michael Gallup, Prescott — who put his running skills on display in Week 2 — continues his impressive start to the regular season.SIT: Cam Newton, QB, Panthers: He was in a walking boot on Wednesday White Lawrence Guy Jerseys , lending belief he may not be available against the Cardinals. Even if he was, Newton has yet to generate a touchdown and his minus-2 rushing yards is a sign that something's wrong. If Newton's not mobile, the Panthers offense becomes running back Christian McCaffrey facing eight-man fronts.START: Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers: Houston is 25th in receiving yards allowed to opposing running backs, a stat that sounds nice to fantasy owners of Ekeler, who averages 13.5 yards per reception and has two receiving scores. A third straight game of at least 130 yards from scrimmage is a strong possibility.SIT: Carlos Hyde, RB, Texans: With Duke Johnson already making him a non-factor in the passing game, Hyde will have to find holes against a Chargers defense that bounced back from being dominated by Colts RB Marlon Mack in Week 1 by limiting the Lions to just 94 yards on 28 carries last week.START: Kenny Golladay, WR Lawrence Guy Jerseys 2019 , Lions: Only the Redskins have a worse fantasy defense against opposing receivers than the Eagles, who have given up five touchdown passes and eight completions of at least 20 yards. Golladay has scored in each of his first two games and should exceed his 9.5 targets per game average. Don't be shocked if Golladay is among the top 10 scorers at his position this week.SIT: Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos: Emmanuel Sanders is clicking with Joe Flacco, having been targeted 20 times along with scoring in each of the first two games. Sutton will get a downfield shot or two, but the Denver passing game will find it hard to get on track against a surprisingly good Packers defense that is fourth in fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing wideouts.START: Vance McDonald, TE, Steelers: New Steelers starting QB Mason Rudolph found McDonald for a pair of scoring receptions in last week's loss to the Seahawks and will be in the neighborhood of 8 to 10 targets as Rudolph looks to him as a security blanket while getting comfortable in the starting role.SIT: Trey Burton, TE, Bears: Prior to Chicago's game-winning drive in Week 2, Burton had one target. He finished with just two catches for 5 yards on three targets. He's still not at 100 percent White Rex Burkhead Jerseys , so Burton will be little more than a role player and occasional decoy against the Redskins on Monday night.START: Nelson Agholor, WR, Eagles: Philly may be without starting wideouts Alshon Jeffrey (calf) and DeSean Jackson (groin), thrusting Agholor into the spotlight against a Lions pass defense that has seen 66 passes targeted at receivers the first two weeks. Agholor went 8 for 11 in targets at the Falcons in Week 2 and will be a high-volume receiver.SIT: Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings: That's not a typo: Cousins' 8.2 QBR is real. He struggled in last week's loss to the Packers, and his 52.4% completion rate is near the bottom of the league. At some point, Minnesota's going to need him to offer the offense more than giving 20-plus touches to RB Dalvin Cook.START: Tom Brady, QB, Patriots: He's thrown for at least two touchdown passes in each of the past six games against the Jets and eight of his past 10. WRs Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon are a big reason why he's averaging 13.8 yards per completion, his best total since 2011.SIT: Josh Gordon Rex Burkhead Jerseys 2019 , WR, Patriots: Gordon has just nine targets in two games. The Patriots will continue to spread the ball around, leaving Gordon only a handful of opportunities each game. If the Pats seek to find balance and emphasize the running game against the Jets, then Gordon's potential for production will be further limited.START: Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons: Off to a slow start, Freeman has averaged just 2.2 yards per carry. Along come the Colts, who are 30th in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing running backs. This could lead a big game from Freeman, especially for those using him in PPR formats.SIT: Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears: Rookie David Montgomery is already limiting Cohen's touches. He'll remain the back of choice in Chicago's passing game White Adam Butler Jerseys , but the sluggish start from QB Mitchell Trubisky makes Cohen a very difficult add to any fantasy offense at this point.START: Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens: That he was targeted 13 times in last week's win over the Cardinals was a sign QB Lamar Jackson doesn't see him strictly as a deep threat. The Chiefs are 24th in fantasy points per game allowed to opposing receivers and didn't get tested much by the Raiders in Week 2. That will change, as Brown and Jackson will face off against Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City's potent passing attack.SIT: Mason Rudolph, QB, Steelers: There were signs that Rudolph could be fantasy-viable after replacing Roethlisberger. Don't get fooled into buying a breakout effort by the second-year passer on the road against a 49ers defense that has four interceptions this season. This column was provided to The Associated Press by SportsGrid Inc., www.sportsgrid.com

He exhibited consistent production in sacks and tackels for loss, amassing 20 sacks and an eye-popping 41 TFL in his three years at Eastern Michigan. After he declared for the draft he was invited to the Combine, where he absolutely crushed all his drills and made his name known to those who may not have heard of him. He was top-five in nearly every drill at his position and tested better than many more highly touted prospects.Offensive linemen had their hands full with Crosby’s big frame and his ability to shed blocks with ease. Blockers rarely get their hands on Crosby, it’s like trying to block smoke. He’s slippery for a guy his size and never gives up on a play, constantly looking for a way to make an impact or force a fumble. He uses his superior length to create turnovers and get his hands on the ball or ball carrier often. His reflexes are terrific and he is a lot more twitchy than you might expect given his lanky frame. Crosby is adept as a pass rusher but is equally skilled in run defense, and his ability to set a physical edge is above average.WeaknessesThat long and spindly frame is Crosby’s best asset and also biggest potential weakness, because he doesn’t exhibit any muscle definition and lacks the strength that most edge rushers have so they can deal with the hulking tackles in the NFL. This isn’t the MAC and Crosby absolutely has to get bigger and stronger. He could stand to pack about 20 more pounds of pure muscle onto his frame. He’s all limbs right now and needs to get stronger and bigger in his core. When he does that, he will also have to learn how to use his hands more effectively when rushing because he won’t be able to just blow by NFL tackles like he is accustomed to doing. He also can’t letpotential tackles get away, as his lack of upper-body strength led to some ball-carriers escaping his grasp in college. That won’t fly in the pros. A season with Deuce Gruden should turn Crosby into an absolute monster because he has all the athleticism you could possibly want in a base 4-3 defensive end.VerdictPrior to the Combine, Crosby was seen as a sixth or seventh rounder. After his fantastic showing in Indianapolis, he moved up into Day 2 consideration. For Mike Mayock to land him in the fourth is a steal and he might be the best value pick in the draft for the Raiders. He has bigger potential than a lot of the players taken before him and can be the true bull in a china-shop defensive end the Raiders lacked last year.Fit With RaidersThe Raiders needed to add edge rushing in this draft and they did just that, first with Clelin Ferrell and then with Crosby. If Crosby develops into his full potential, he and Ferrell will be fantastic bookend defensive ends and with Maurice Hurst in the middle, opposing quarterbacks will feel the heat from every direction at all times. Crosby may not start right away but when he does, he will bring an opportunistic playmaking style to the Raider defense that it has sorely lacked recently.Watch Maxx Crosby’s highlights here

KANSAS CITY Shane Lechler Jersey White , Mo. (AP) — There were plenty of people standing on the Houston Texans sideline that felt they had something to prove against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.Just about all of them succeeded, too.Deshaun Watson threw for 280 yards and a touchdown while running for two more, outdueling Chiefs counterpart Patrick Mahomes, who was famously picked two spots ahead of him in the 2017 draft.Article continues below ...Carlos Hyde ran for 116 yards and a touchdown against the team that traded him to Houston in the preseason, when the Chiefs decided there was no room for him in their own backfield. Most importantly, Bill O’Brien proved he could beat a team pegged a Super Bowl contender, leading the Texans to a come-from-behind 31-24 victory after losing three of his last four to Kansas City.“They care about the team. They seem to have fun with each other. We’ve just got to keep it going,” said O’Brien, whose losses to the Chiefs include a postseason defeat. “We just had a really good win against a good team, but we’re 4-2 and 4-2 gets you nowhere.”Better than being 3-3, though. That was still a possibility until DeAndre Hopkins made a sliding grab on fourth-and-3 from the Kansas City 27 with just under 2 minutes to go. That allowed the Texans to run out the clock and deal the Chiefs (4-2) their second consecutive loss — both at Arrowhead Stadium.“It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to deal with all the adversity and the up and down and flow of the game and to be able to fight for 60 minutes,” Watson said. “That’s what we did. We kept fighting and kept pushing and kept encouraging. This locker room, everyone is always fighting to the end regardless of the score. We don’t look at the scoreboard. We’re going to play 60 minutes every game.”Mahomes Braxton Miller Jersey White , hobbled once again by a sore left ankle, finished with 273 yards passing and three TDs while throwing his first interception of the season. Two of the scores went to Tyreek Hill, who returned for the first time since breaking his collarbone in a Week 1 win in Jacksonville.“We just have to flip a few things,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “The margin of winning and losing in this league is minute. We were this close to coming out of this thing with a win.”It wasn’t a pretty game for either side. They combined for 21 penalties totaling nearly 150 yards, and that didn’t include close to a dozen flags that were offsetting, overruled or declined. It was Kansas City that started hot, engineering drives of at least 90 yards twice in the first quarter. Hill finished the first with a 46-yard reception — the first touchdown throw in a first quarter by Mahomes since Week 1 — while Damien Williams finished the second with a 14-yard TD catch. In between, Hyde coughed up the ball on Houston’s first offensive play. But the big running back soon atoned for his mistake. Hyde battered the Chiefs’ porous run defense the rest of the game, punctuating a big first half against his ex-team with a short touchdown run.“It was big for him to come in here and do what he did,” Watson said. The Texans then took the lead into the locker room after Mahomes was strip-sacked with 20 seconds left and Houston recovered, and Watson waltzed into the end zone on the very next play.It wasn’t the last time he reached pay dirt.Mahomes hit Hill again in the third quarter to give the Chiefs the lead back , but the Houston quarterback answered with a 12-play, 93-yard drive consuming more than 8 1/2 minutes. By the time he spun into the end zone and converted the 2-point try http://www.thetexanslockerroom.com/authentic-deshaun-watson-jersey , the Texans had a 31-24 lead with 6:17 to go.Kansas City went three-and-out on its next possession, and a defense that has been maligned for most of Reid’s tenure with the Chiefs failed to make a stop once again.“We haven’t played a perfect game on defense,” Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark said, “and we’re not going to play a perfect game, but we need to play a bit better. We need to eliminate the rush. When you eliminate the rush, you can have more fun.”FIRST PICKThe first pick Mahomes had thrown this season was nearly wiped out when an official threw a flag for pass interference. But after referee Shawn Hochuli announced the penalty, the officials huddled and decided to pick up the flag in a bizarre series of events.“It was man coverage and I saw (Travis) Kelce getting ready to do his move, so I threw it to where he was going to be and he got tackled,” Mahomes said. “With how the ruling worked, they said since the ball was uncatchable it wasn’t pass interference or something.”INJURIESTexans: CB Johnathan Joseph (hamstring) was inactive after showing up on the injury report Friday. Also inactive were WR Kenny Stills (hamstring) and RB Taiwan Jones (hip). … RT Tytus Howard (knee), CB Bradley Roby (hamstring) and LB Zach Cunningham (knee) left during the game.Chiefs: Inactive starters included WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring), LT Eric Fisher (groin), LG Andrew Wylie (ankle) Jay Prosch Jersey White , DT Chris Jones (groin) and LB Anthony Hitchens (groin). … CB Kendall Fuller was due to get X-rays on his right hand after leaving the game. He had surgery on the same hand last season.UP NEXTTexans visit the Colts next Sunday.Chiefs visit the Broncos on Thursday night. Jadeveon Clowney spent Monday exactly where he wanted to end up.He was no longer in Houston. He was in Seattle, the place former teammate Duane Brown helped convince him would be the best landing spot for the pass rusher.Clowney had successfully taken back control of his career, and combined with some deft maneuvering by the Seahawks, found a new place to call home."I'm glad it's over, the whole process of being traded and everything," Clowney said. "I'm glad I can be a part of this team here now and get going on a new journey."Clowney went through his first practice in Seattle on Monday, two days after the agreement was reached for his trade from the Texans. Clowney held out of training camp in Houston unhappy with his contract situation after the Texans used the franchise tag on him for the upcoming season.Eventually his patience in staying away from the Texans paid off. He was sent to Seattle in exchange for a 2020 third-round pick, two players, and an agreement with the Seahawks they would not use the franchise tag on him after next season. It may just turn out to be a one-year rental for the Seahawks, but still could be a win for all parties. Seattle landed the elite pass rusher it needed to help answer the biggest question for a team that should be a contender in the NFC. Clowney got the freedom to become a free agent after next season and decide if Seattle is where he wants to stay or see what else is available on the open market."His excitement about coming here and being part of this team and ready to take advantage of this opportunity to show where he belongs. He's not going to let this go by now," Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. "He wants to show us that we've got to have him here. That's thrilling for us to hear. We'll see what goes down in the long haul."Despite missing all of training camp and preseason, Clowney said he expects to play in Sunday's season opener against Cincinnati. His first practice with Seattle was simply learning the basics of the defensive scheme, but Clowney believes his offseason conditioning and the work he did during his holdout should allow him to play in Week 1.The Seahawks could end up with both of their new defensive ends being available. Ziggy Ansah returned to practice last week and is on track to be ready to go against the Bengals."Those guys are like bookends. They're exactly what you're looking for on the edge Alfred Blue Jersey ," Carroll said. "I'm hoping we'll be able to see these guys come together and be a factor and play off one another and complement each other."Another important factor in Clowney landing in Seattle was Brown. The veteran offensive tackle's voice is respected inside the Seahawks facility, and it was his conversations with Carroll and other staff members that alleviated any concerns Seattle may have had about bringing Clowney to Seattle. It also worked in the other direction, with Clowney asking Brown what Seattle was like."Without question Duane helped us through the process helping us know who we're dealing with, the player he used to practice against, and capabilities, potential, habits, background, family. I mean we really had a lot of insights because of Duane," Carroll said. From a scheme standpoint, Clowney sounded thrilled to be no longer playing in a 3-4 defensive alignment. In Seattle's 4-3, he'll rarely — if ever — be asked to drop into coverage. Or as Clowney described, "when you're going forward Womens Trevor Daniel Jersey , you don't think about a lot.""That's the best thing about this defense is you've got guys behind you that can make all the plays," Clowney said. "So the guys up front just get moving and get going and cause havoc. That's what I like about this."NOTES: Seattle continued to reshuffling its roster by re-signing WR Jaron Brown and FB Nick Bellore on Monday. The Seahawks placed TE Ed Dickson on injured reserve with a knee injury and released backup LB Austin Calitro. The move with Calitro was a surprise after he started five games last season and played multiple positions. But it was a spot where Seattle had a glut of players after keeping seven LBs on its initial 53-man roster, including rookies Cody Barton and Ben Burr-Kirven, and Shaquem Griffin. ... Seattle finished off its 10-player practice squad by signing LB Jachai Polite, G Kyle Fuller, CB Ryan Neal and G Kahlil McKenzie. Polite was a third-round pick of the New York Jets, but was cut over the weekend.

The biggest question revolves around Ezekiel Ansah’s future with the team. A pending free agent, Ansah is an effective pass rusher when on the field. His availability, however, remains an issue. With 11 tackles and four sacks in just seven games played, Ansah had another season with injury concerns. A team will take a chance on him, but it remains to be seen if the Lions are one of those teams.Elsewhere, Romeo Okwara led the team in sacks with eight, followed by Devon Kennard with seven. Despite the decent sack total — the Lions finished with 43 sacks, tied for 11th in the league — the Lions struggled with creating pressure, ranking as the third worst defense at generating pass rush per Pro Football Focus, ahead of only the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In fact, PFF’s top five NFC North edge defenders didn’t include a single Lion:Sure, PFF isn’t the be-all and end-all when assessing a player’s success, but there is still concern to be had.Other edge rushers from the 2018 Detroit Lions include Eli Harold, another upcoming free agent Eli Harold Jersey White , Eric Lee, and Mitchell Loewen, all of whom figure to compete for depth roles. While Da’Shawn Hand did line up at edge a few times this season, he was most effective inside. In free agency, there are a plethora of big name free agents; Jadeveon Clowney, DeMarcus Lawrence, Trey Flowers, Frank Clark, and Preston Smith are just some of the players slated to hit the market. The key word, however, is slated. Many of these names could be re-signed or franchise tagged before free agency — Clowney and Lawrence will likely be unavailable. Additionally, pass rushers tend to command a hefty paycheck, and the Lions have not broken the bank for them in the past (franchise tagging Ansah aside). The draft, meanwhile, has some elite talent, but the Lions might need some luck. The top edge prospects include Nick Bosa http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-frank-ragnow-jersey , Josh Allen (not the quarterback), Rashan Gary, Montez Sweat, Brian Burns, Jachai Polite, and Clelin Ferrell. However, there is very little consensus among the draft community, and as of now, it will be hard to predict who will be available when. The Lions could trade down or target a pass rusher in later rounds as well. All that considered, here’s out question of the day:Who will be the Lions’ starting pass rushers next season?I expect the Lions to let Ansah walk, re-sign Okwara, sign a rotational piece in free agency, and spend a first to third rounder on an edge. I would love the Lions to acquire Trey Flowers or Preston Smith, but there will be a lot of bidding for their services, and I think they will be pushed out of Detroit’s price range.I believe the starting pass rushers will be:RookieOkwara (if the rookie is a DE/LB) OR Kennard (if the rookie is a DE)It’s not the sexiest of moves, but it’s a likely one. The Lions utilized many rotations last season Womens Nick Bellore Jersey , so even if Okwara or Kennard don’t start, they’ll likely get sufficient snaps.Your turn: Who will be the Lions’ starting pass rushers next season?Tweets from https://twitter.com/PrideOfDetroit/lists/lions-coverage The Lions have a pair of defensive stars missing OTAs.In what can only be a coincidence, both players could make a strong case for being underpaid.Via Dave Birkett of the , Lions cornerback Darius Slay and defensive tackle Damon Harrison were missing from the voluntary OTAs.Slay signed a four-year, $48 million extension in July 2016, and is scheduled to make $12 million this year, with another $250,000 in per-game bonuses. That’s good money, but not on par with the latest contracts.Harrison has two years left on the deal the Lions inherited from the Giants. He’s scheduled to make $6.75 million this year.“Right now we are — it’s voluntary as that part of the season is concerned,” Lions coach Matt Patricia said. “Those two guys are not here. You will not see them at the practice today, but we fully expect that this time of the year, guys that are here, guys that are not. That’s totally fine. We’re working with the guys that are out there.”That’s kind of what Patricia has to say, but it seems apparent that two of his most important players are something less than gruntled at the moment.

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley is out against the Arizona Cardinals because of a knee injury.Gurley did not practice on Thursday Tyler Boyd Jersey , but said he expected to play in Sunday’s game despite knee inflammation that flared up last week against Philadelphia.Gurley leads the NFL with 21 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns for the Rams (11-3), who have already clinched the NFC West.Los Angeles coach Sean McVay said earlier this week that he would consider resting Gurley for the playoffs, even with the Rams on a two-game losing streak and trying to secure a first-round bye.Gurley is the NFL’s second-leading rusher with 1,251 yards. The Saints’ Austin Carr is the odd man out in New Orleans’ receiver group after Ted Ginn returned this week from an arthroscopic knee procedure that kept him out injured more than half the season. Left tackle Terron Armstead also makes a timely return to the lineup from his chest injury while fellow tackle Jermon Bushrod sits out with a sore hamstring. For Pittsburgh Nick Vigil Jersey , receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is active after being listed as questionable because of a sore groin that limited him in practice this week. Here’s the full list of inactives for Sunday’s games: If the Bengals and Dolphins followed the NFL’s rules regarding the hiring of head coaches, they most likely wouldn’t have hired head coaches on Monday. Because they wouldn’t have had time to negotiate contracts and finalize arrangements.“No contract shall be executed, and no agreement to execute a contract . . . shall be permitted until after the conclusion of the employer club’s playing season,” the league’s anti-tampering policy states. This means that there can be no offer nor acceptance of terms before an assistant coach’s season has ended. Which means that Jake Fisher Jersey , for guys like Zac Taylor and Brian Flores, a whole lot of things would have had to happen after Sunday night to put the wheels in motion for what happened Monday. The reality is that teams routinely ignore the rules, winking and nodding and otherwise doing a deal without officially doing a deal, allowing for the coach or the team (in theory or Tyler Kroft Jersey , as happened a year ago, in practice) to pull the plug before pen is put to paper. The NFL decided not to change the rule in the aftermath of last year’s Josh McDaniels debacle. The fact that two more teams wandered to the wrong side of it this year make an official change to the rule even more necessary. There’s no good reason to keep the current procedure in place, if teams aren’t going to follow it — and if the league isn’t going to do anything about it.

Jared Goff was about four weeks old the previous time two NFL teams based in Los Angeles played each other. When this long-dormant derby returned in its newest form Sunday Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Stitched , the young quarterback was the biggest reason why the Rams won this round in the long fight ahead for the hearts of LA.Goff passed for 354 yards and three touchdowns, and Todd Gurley rushed for 105 yards and another score, leading the Rams to a 35-23 victory over the Chargers in the franchises' first meeting since their relocations to Los Angeles."It felt like a good rivalry," said Goff, who was 29 for 36 in perhaps his most impressive pro performance. "I think you could feel the crowd. You could tell there were two sides in here. Ultimately I think we had a little bit more, being at home, but you could definitely feel it. I think they are a great team, we're a great team, and hopefully that can continue for a long time."Cory Littleton blocked a punt in the end zone and Blake Countess recovered it for an early touchdown for the Rams (3-0), who racked up 521 yards and remained one of the NFL's four unbeaten teams. Two seasons after the Rams kicked off professional football's return to the nation's second-largest market after 21 years away, they got their first meeting with the Chargers, who moved a year later. Both teams put on an entertaining show for a Coliseum crowd of 68,947 containing a surprisingly significant turnout of Chargers fans David Edwards Jersey nfl draft , but the Rams' offensive brilliance kept them ahead all day. These teams are likely to have a friendly coexistence in LA instead of a real rivalry, since they'll only play each other roughly once every four years while they share a multi-billion-dollar stadium complex in Inglewood starting in 2020.Neither side ascribed much cultural significance to this win — but the Rams were thrilled to defend their turf."Coming out, they were kind of loud, but I think we quieted them up," Rams receiver Robert Woods said. "At the end of the game, you knew whose house it was, who is LA's team."Woods caught two TD passes and Cooper Kupp made a 53-yard scoring catch from Goff.Philip Rivers passed for 226 yards and hit Mike Williams with two touchdown passes for the Chargers (1-2), whose two losses have come against the powerhouse Chiefs and Rams without injured pass-rusher Joey Bosa. Melvin Gordon rushed for 80 yards and a score ."(The Rams) are good in all areas, but I feel like we had a lot of opportunities to make plays," Williams said. "We know the talent that we have in the locker room. We've just got to put it on the field."Despite their prolific offensive performance, the Rams never got comfortable. They lost starting cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib to injuries during the game, and the Chargers twice drove deep into Rams territory in the fourth quarter, only to come away with three points.Chargers rookie safety Derwin James got his first career interception in the end zone to kill a likely scoring drive Custom David Edwards Jersey , but he blamed the defense for the loss."We couldn't get a stop," James said. "We made them punt one time. Offense put up enough points."The Rams racked up 313 yards and held the ball for almost 20 minutes in the first half, but also committed two red zone turnovers that allowed the Chargers to stay close. Gurley fumbled on the Rams' opening drive, and James picked off Goff in the end zone in the second quarter.Kupp and Goff put the Rams up 28-13 early in the third when Goff evaded pressure and slung a perfect, long throw to Kupp, who shook off Trevor Williams' tackle and ran away. The Rams didn't punt until they led 35-23 with 7:38 to play, but the Chargers couldn't get into the end zone in the final 23 minutes of the game.BIG BLOCKJames, the Bolts' stellar rookie safety, went out of bounds at the 1 after his pick, and the Chargers eventually had to punt out of their end zone. After a Bolts blocking mistake, Littleton easily blocked the punt to give a 21-6 lead to the Rams."Everything went perfectly for us, and that was the result," said Littleton Discount David Edwards Jersey , who is still playing special teams even after becoming a starting inside linebacker this year. "It was wide open. You don't get those very often."INJURY REPORTChargers: P Drew Kaser injured his leg when Littleton rushed in to block his punt in the first half. The Pro Bowl selection didn't return. Talib then left in the second half. McVay said the Rams will know more Monday. ... Kick returner JoJo Natson injured his hand in the first half and didn't return. He was signed two weeks ago to replace injured Pro Bowl returner Pharoh Cooper. ... LB Dominique Easley was sidelined with a knee injury. McVay didn't know the extent.UP NEXTChargers: Host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Sept. 30.Rams: Host the Minnesota Vikings this Thursday, Sept. 27. With only three days to prepare, the players were already getting extensive treatment in the locker room after the game. "Recovery process starts now!" receiver Brandin Cooks yelled. The NFL finally has done the right thing.Pass interference will now be among the plays subject to replay review. It will apply both to offensive and defensive interference. And it will apply to calls and non-calls.Coaches will be permitted to challenge calls and non-calls of pass interference, and the replay official will initiate the process in the final two minutes of each half and overtime. The league had resisted making pass interference subject to replay review for years, arguing that it is a “judgment call.” In some situations, however, judgement is horribly exercised. As owners exited the room, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said (via Darin Gantt of PFT), “We got better in there.”Indeed they did. This is the solution for the non-call that marred the NFC Championship, with Rams defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman wiping out now-former Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis before the ball arrived.

As they were searching for a quarterback to assume the starter’s mantel this year, a lot of speculation focused on Miami native Teddy Bridgewater.A free agent after spending one season with the New Orleans Saints, Bridgewater Cordrea Tankersley Jersey , who sustained a devastating injury in 2016, appeared to be on the verge of reclaiming the top spot on an NFL depth chart. Instead, Bridgewater returned to the Saints to backup Drew Brees, turning down the Dolphins.NFL Network reported Bridgewater had an offer from the Dolphins that was bigger than the one-year, $7.25 million contract he signed to stay in New Orleans. There were also reports, including from Miami Herald reporter Armando Salguero, that the Dolphins were never big players in the chase for Bridgewater.ESPN sees Bridgewater’s decision as one of the biggest “whiffs” of the offseason, and, surprisingly, not from the Dolphins’ point of view.Kevin Seifert published “The NFL’s ‘off’ season: Ranking the seven biggest whiffs this spring” on Wednesday, and ranked Bridgewater walking away from a starting position as the second-biggest miss of the offseason:I will admit, when I saw the Dolphins listed at number two, I thought it was going to be about how the Dolphins missed again on a franchise quarterback, how the team is in dysfunction, and how they can never land the player they want - the tired storylines that seem to show up every time anyone talks about Miami. This actually went the other way though. It seems like Seifert was okay with the Dolphins not overspending for a player they may not have been crazy to land anyway. The “whiff” here was Bridgewater not jumping at a chance to get back on the field and show what he can be as a starter post knee injury.Maybe this is Bridgewater betting on himself Raekwon McMillan Jersey , letting his knee have another year to recover and another year to learn from Brees and the Saints coaching staff. That has paid off in the past, and maybe it does again here. But, it is a gamble when the last time Bridgewater threw more than 23 pass attempts in a season was in 2015, and barring an injury to Brees, that will likely not change in 2019.It seemed like the Dolphins and Bridgewater were close to making a deal happen, but something stopped it - Bridgewater not wanting to leave New Orleans, Miami not really wanting to spend on Bridgewater, or maybe something else. According to ESPN, whatever stopped it led to Bridgewater having the second biggest whiff of the 2019 offseason.Whatever the case, Miami ultimately signed Ryan Fitzpatrick and traded for Josh Rosen to fill the quarterback position, while Bridgewater returned to New Orleans. And that brings us to the biggest “whiff” of the offseason. Seifert’s number one whiff is the “Arizona Cardinals botch the Josh Rosen trade.”He writes:The Cardinals waited and waited to look to trade Rosen, and the Dolphins were willing to be patient. Not only did Arizona tip their hand by selecting Murray before they made a trade, every team who was thought to be interested in the second-year quarterback picked a rookie as the first round unfolded. Arizona ended up trapped with just the Dolphins still talking to them.Miami was not going to pay a premium for a quarterback the Cardinals were looking to jettison. With no one fulfilling the initial request of a first-round pick for Rosen, for whom the Cardinals traded up to the tenth overall pick in 2018, Arizona’s demand became a second-round selection. The Dolphins were on the clock with the 48th overall pick Charles Harris Jersey , but decided to trade that selection to the Saints, adding a second-round pick in 2020 in the deal. Miami then came back on the clock with the 62nd overall pick, the antepenultimate pick of the second round.Miami and Arizona finally made the trade, with Miami also sending a 2020 fifth-round pick to the Cardinals for Rosen.Arizona got a second-round pick for Rosen and can say they landed multiple picks for the quarterback - a passer they traded three picks a year earlier to select. It cost Arizona their 2018 17th (first round), 79th (third round), and 152nd (fifth round) overall picks to land Rosen. It cost Miami the 62nd overall pick (second round) and a 2020 fifth round pick to acquire the former UCLA quarterback. And, Miami pulled in an extra second-round pick in 2020 before they agreed to the trade for Rosen.Miami played the acquisition of Rosen well. The Cardinals, according to Seifert, did not play the trade of Rosen well. And Rosen lands with a team that has “better short- and long-term prospects.”I am still a little confused by ESPN being okay with anything Miami has done, but it does seem like even they realize the Dolphins are building nicely with some good moves.

The Los Angeles Rams lost arguably the ugliest game under Head Coach Sean McVay’s tutelage on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 17-12. The performance wasn’t the worst the Rams had under McVay as they’ve been completely stifled in past performances against teams like the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers Womens John Johnson Jersey , but this game represented a massive opportunity for the Rams to attempt to close the gap in the NFC playoff race, and they miserably failed.Let’s get into the stock report:Stock DownOffensive LineWhat a putrid performance by this group upfront. Unfortunately for the Rams, they lost both C Brian Allen and RT Rob Havenstein to injury in the game, with neither returning after going down. It made absolutely no difference though as the offensive line was terrible prior to and after the injuries. The running game was completely invisible outside of the runs that were specific to Todd Gurley — those actually turned out well — and the pass pro was just horrendous. QB Jared Goff was sacked four times, but he was pressured on nearly every dropback.QB Jared GoffGoff wasn’t given any chance to succeed in this game, but he was also bad, regardless of the situation that surrounded him. Goff was credited for two interceptions and three fumbles on the day, a total of five turnovers. That is obviously a recipe for disaster. Goff wasn’t accurate or decisive, some of which can surely be blamed by the muddied pockets and getting clobbered all game. Still, Goff can’t really get knocked too badly due to the performance from his offensive line.Sean McVayThe best offense the Rams had on the day was when Todd Gurley was running the ball. The issue was Gurley only received 12 rushing attempts Josh Reynolds Jersey , totaling 73 yards and 6.1-yards-per-carry. McVay went away from Gurley way too often, particularly in the 4th quarter.NFL RefereesThe refs were terrible. The issue was the lack of any semblance of consistency. Goff was credited with a fumble on a play where his arm looked to be going forward, ala the Tuck Rule. The issue wasn’t the way it was called. The thing to note was the refs letting the play-play out, and then using the video evidence to confirm/review the call. They handed the Steelers a defensive touchdown, which ultimately was upheld upon review. The Rams then hit QB Mason Rudolph on two separate instances that were nearly identical, and BOTH were ruled incomplete throws as opposed to fumbles, letting the play go, and then reviewing it as they did with the Steelers. Why was there no consistency in these calls, and why did only one side get to benefit from the refs calling it properly?Stock UpTE Gerald EverettEverett continues to be a mismatch for defenses, especially when you consider his incredible yards-after-catch (YAC) ability. Everett secured eight receptions on 12 targets for 68 yards. Everett’s only gaff on the day came in a two-minute drill where he elected to stay in-bounds as opposed to getting out and stopping the clock http://www.theramslockerroom.com/authentic-samson-ebukam-jersey , but otherwise had a great performance.WR Josh ReynoldsJRey stepped in for the injured Brandin Cooks, and as he always does, produced and ensured there wasn’t much of a drop-off. Reynolds pulled down three receptions on five targets for 49 yards. Reynolds didn’t do anything spectacular, but it’s good to know he’s prepared to be the guy for as long as Cooks remains sidelined.DT Aaron DonaldNot really getting to enjoy his homecoming due to a loss, Donald balled out as per usual. #99 was the force behind the safety, which ultimately gave the Rams momentum and a shot to really turn the game around, but they didn’t capitalize offensively. Donald finished the game with five tackles, 0.5 sacks, and two tackles-for-loss.EDGE Clay MatthewsPlaying in his first game since Week 5, Matthews performed incredibly Womens C.J. Anderson Jersey , showing no signs of rust. Matthews registered three tackles, 1.5 sacks (half a sack on the safety with Donald), and one tackle-for-loss. It was a nice return for the veteran edge rusher.RB Todd GurleyGurley was awful as a receiver — zero catches on four targets — though his quarterback did him no favors with inaccurate passes. As a runner, Gurley looked incredibly fresh and decisive, gaining 73 yards on the ground for an average of 6.1 YPC. Gurley showed a nice jump-cut in the backfield which helped set up his holes on multiple occasions. Chiefs linebacker Dee Ford made a big error in the AFC Championship Game when he lined up offside and wiped out an interception that could have sealed a Kansas City win Demarcus Robinson Jersey , but he hopes that wasn’t one of his final moments in a Chiefs uniform.Ford’s contract is up at the end of the season and he said on Monday that he “would love to come back here” and continue playing for the team that drafted him in the first round of the 2014 draft. He stayed healthy in 2018 and made his case for a longer run with the team by setting career highs with 13 sacks and seven forced fumbles.Ford added that he knows that a return isn’t totally up to him. He also can’t guarantee that he’d return with Justin Houston on the other side of the defense, but hopes that a player he calls a mentor along with former Chief Tamba Hali will continue to be his teammate..“It’ll be very disappointing,” Ford said, via the . “Justin, him and Tamba were basically my mentors since I stepped into this league. They could have easily not taken me under their wing, but they did. It’ll be very disappointing for me to not be able to continue what we started this year, healthy finally. It’ll be very disappointing Sammy Watkins Jersey , but at the end of the day I hope it all works out.”Houston is signed for the next two years and his contract calls for a $15.25 million base salary next season. He missed four games due to injury and had nine sacks and five forced fumbles in nine appearances. The statement issued, but likely not written, by Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill on Thursday said everything that it predictably would have said, carefully omitting anything that addresses whether his three-year-old child suffered an injury, or how the injury happened. Many nevertheless thought that ended the situation. And it has now become clear that the situation is only just beginning.KCTV has obtained audio of a conversation between Hill and Crystal Espinal, the mother of their son. Espinal created the audio as an “insurance policy” that she gave to a friend. It was “passed around” before landing at KCTV.The audio is compelling. And troubling.“He is terrified of you,” Espinal says. “And you say that he respects you Anthony Hitchens Jersey , but it’s not respect.”Hill says, “He respects me.”“It’s terrify,” she says, “he’s terrified of you.”“You need to be terrified of me, too, bitch,” Hill says. “That’s why you can’t keep a f–king man.”Hill previously pleaded guilty to choking and punching Espinal while she was pregnant with the child. The audio makes it clear that Espinal had previously been covering for Hill.“I didn’t do nothing Chad Henne Jersey ,” Hill insists during the discussion about the injury suffered by Hill’s son.“Then why does [he] say, ‘Daddy did it’?” Espinal says. “Why does [he] say, ‘Daddy did it’?”“I don’t know,” Hill says. “He says Daddy does a lot of things.”“Like what?” Espinal says. “A three-year-old’s not gonna lie about what happened to his arm.”Someone clearly has been lying about what happened to the boy’s arm. And it’s clear that other things have happened; on the audio, Espinal says that Hill punches the boy in the chest when the boy is crying. She also says that the boy has told investigators, “Daddy punches me.”The audio is difficult to listen to, and it confirms exactly what many suspected on Wednesday Kendall Fuller Jersey , when the prosecutor announced that he believes a crime was committed, but that it could not be proven who did it. This audio potentially changes everything, for the authorities, for the league, and for the Chiefs — who if they do what they did with Kareem Hunt could be cutting ties with Tyreek Hill, soon.

Today I’ll look at one of the darkest days in Raiders history, a moment which has become far, far more important than it seemed at the time.January 19, 2002 is one of the most pivotal dates in NFL history. It was the date of what has become known as the “Tuck Rule Game”, which not only was one of the most controversial games of all time, but also led to one of the most dominant dynasties and long-term runs of success football has ever seen. The tuck rule itself was not new in that particular game, and in fact had reared its ugly head earlier that same season, in a game between the Patriots and Jets. New York QB Vinny Testaverde was tackled and seemingly fumbled, leading to a recovery and touchdown by future Raider Richard Seymour. But nay! said the officials. Testaverde’s arm was coming forward. The call was nullified.Later on in that game, Patriots QB Drew Bledsoe suffered an injury at the hands of the Jets’ Mo Lewis, and wet-behind-the-ears backup Tom Brady entered the game. Even when the Jets do something right, they screw themselves and everyone else.Brady played exceptionally well for the Patriots and started a Divisional Playoff game against the Raiders, who were among the most dominant forces in the AFC at the time. Near the end of this game, Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson smacked the ball out of Brady’s hands and the Raiders recovered. This seemingly secured a road playoff win for Oakland. But nay! said the officials. Brady’s hand was moving forward. Incomplete pass. The Patriots would later win the game as Adam Vinatieri kicked an absurd overtime field goal in the snow. The Patriots advanced to take on the Steelers in the AFC title game Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , and though Bledsoe had to relieve Brady in the game due to an ankle injury, Brady was healthy enough to beat the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’ Rams for his first Super Bowl, and the first in Patriots history. Before I get to the impact this one single play had on the rest of the league, I want to talk about how it affected the Raiders. This was, until last year, the last game Jon Gruden would coach in the Silver and Black. Oakland traded him to the Buccaneers, hired Bill Callahan as coach, and made the Super Bowl the next year... against the Buccaneers. They lost. And from that point until 2016, the Raiders did not make the playoffs once. For this once-proud franchise, the Tuck Rule’s impact led to a 14-year stretch of abject futility. Oakland became the laughingstock of the NFL. The Raiders hired and fired eight different coaches between Gruden and Gruden 2: Electric Boogaloo.Had the Tuck Rule been ruled a fumble, the Raiders would have almost certainly beaten the Steelers the following week and the Super Bowl against the Rams might have been an all-time classic. I can’t in good conscience tell you the Raiders would have beaten that Rams team, but maybe they would have. Hell, the Titans almost did it, two years before. Now on to the more wide-ranging implications of the Tuck Rule never happening. If Tom Brady loses that game, he is just another shmuck, the Jeff Hostetler of his time. Drew Bledsoe regains his job the next season instead of being shipped off to the Bills. Bledsoe played another five years after this for the Bills and Cowboys, so perhaps Brady never becomes the Patriots starter. Maybe he gets shipped out, like Belichick did with Jimmy Garoppolo. What I can tell you is Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , as good as Brady is, it’s his synergy with Belichick that makes him so dangerous. Without that first Super Bowl, there is no guarantee Belichick stays as the long-term overlord of the Patriots. On any other team with any other coach, there’s a chance that Brady’s just another guy.Just another guy wouldn’t have been good enough to outduel a team like the 2018 Chiefs. Another guy wouldn’t have dismissed the 2006 Chargers, one of the most underrated and forgotten teams in NFL history. Some other jabroni wouldn’t have been there to upend the 2003 Panthers or the 2004 Donovan McNabb-led Eagles. Any other schlub doesn’t come back against Matt Ryan’s Falcons, down 28-3. Matt Ryan is, right now, a surefire Hall of Fame player if the Tuck Rule never happened.Would the Patriots be a good team? Of course. They made the Super Bowl just a few years before, losing to Brett Favre’s Packers, under Bill Parcells. The Patriots had plenty of talent and were arguably the class of the AFC East even then. But what they’ve managed to do since the Tuck Rule game is unlike anything the NFL has ever seen, or professional sports since the 1960s Celtics. They do absolutely none of it without Brady and Belichick together, ergo, without the Tuck Rule.Without New England, either Oakland, Pittsburgh or the Rams have another title. Would the Steelers have drafted Ben Roethlisberger two years later? Would the Rams have moved to Los Angeles? Would Al Davis and Jon Gruden have learned to work together?Would San Diego have won the Super Bowl in 2006, and if they did would they have moved to LA? Would the Seahawks have a second Super Bowl? Would Donovan McNabb be looked at as an all-time great? Would the Falcons have slaughtered any other team but the Patriots in 2016? Would Peyton Manning have more than two Super Bowl wins? Would the Rams of five months ago have been able to solve any defense but Bill Belichick’s? Turf Show Times just wrote their What If piece on a pass interference call in this year’s Super Bowl. Would it have even mattered, if not against the Patriots? Some of these things happen, some of them maybe don’t. What we have today is an NFL where the Patriots are on top as the face of the league Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , and anyone who wants to win has to go through them (as the Eagles did). That goes for the Raiders as well. The Tuck Rule game was, in my view, the single most important moment in NFL history next to the AFL-NFL merger itself. It has changed and molded literally everything about the NFL for the last 18 years. And it is why, even though Raider fans hate every other team, we all hold a special, personal, seething amount of hate for the Patriots. There was big news in the inactives for this game. Vikings Pro Bowl linebacker Anthony Barr will not play. He was dealing with a groin injury that caused him to miss one of the team’s practices this week but head coach Mike Zimmer seemed confident he would play. I asked Chris Gates from SB Nation Vikings site Daily Norseman about what this loss would mean to the Vikings’ defense.“If he doesn’t [play], t’s a pretty significant loss for the defense,” said Gates. “Barr just does so many different things, whether it’s blitzing or dropping back into coverage (which is something he’s gotten exponentially better at over the years) or running down screen passes, his athletic ability allows Mike Zimmer and George Edwards to do some things that they might not be able to do if Barr wasn’t out there. I don’t think he’s the most important player on the Vikings’ defense. . .that distinction goes to Harrison Smith. . .but Barr is certainly a player that the Vikings would rather have out on the field on Sunday.”Newly acquired wide receiver and kick returner Trevor Davis is inactive. The Raiders sent a reported 6th round pick to the Packers for him this week.Wide receiver Ryan Grant is also inactive after starting the first two games. JJ Nelson returns this week and the Raiders are looking to get more from their wide receiver corps. The group will consist of Tyrell Williams, Nelson, Hunter Renfrow, and Keelan Doss.RaidersWR Trevor DavisWR Ryan GrantG Gabe JacksonWR/RS Dwayne HarrisQB DeShone KizerDT Corey LiugetT David SharpeVikings

FOXBOROUGH Justin Reid Jersey , Mass. (AP) — Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski sent New England fans into a panic this offseason when they hinted at retiring rather than returning to the Patriots in 2018.On Sunday, it was the rest of the NFL watching in fear.Brady threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns, hitting Gronkowski for 123 yards and a score to lead the defending AFC champions to a 27-20 victory over the Houston Texans. The reigning NFL MVP found Gronkowski seven times, including a 21-yard touchdown three plays after Deshaun Watson fumbled a handoff at the Texans 19 on Houston’s first offensive play .“It’s very important that they came out and played the way they did. They’re our leaders,” said Phillip Dorsett, who had seven catches, including a touchdown. “When they play well, they give an adrenaline boost to the rest of the team.”Brady, 41, clashed with the team he’s led to five Super Bowl titles in the past year over the treatment of his personal fitness guru and the plans to elevate backup Jimmy Garoppolo to starter. In February, after throwing for 500 yards in a Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Brady was coy about returning this season. The Patriots dangled Gronkowski as trade bait this summer before agreeing instead to sweeten his contract with $4.3 million in reachable incentives. Gronkowski reportedly threatened to retire if traded.“I’m just glad to be here Johnathan Joseph Jersey White , glad to be part of this team, glad to be part of this organization,” he said. “All that talk, all that stuff, I would love to put it in the past.”Brady also found James White for a touchdown, completing 26 of 39 passes in all; he also had an interception on a pass that was tipped at the line of scrimmage. It was Gronkowski’s 31st career regular-season or playoff game of 100 yards or more, tying Tony Gonzalez’s NFL record.“We’ve been playing together for a long time,” Brady said. “I know his body language. I know his ability to run and what routes. He can do it. He can do really all the routes. It’s just a matter of giving him a chance, and it came with a big touchdown today.”Watson, who missed the final nine games last season with a torn right ACL, completed 17 of 35 passes for 176 yards, one score and one interception. He struggled to move the team in the first 40 minutes Womens Lamar Miller Jersey , managing just a pair of field-goal drives before Alfred Blue ran it in from 1 yard to make it 24-13 in the last two minutes of the third period.A muffed punt by New England’s Riley McCarron with under five minutes left set up Watson’s 5-yard TD pass to Bruce Ellington and cut the deficit to 27-20. But after getting the ball back at their 1 with 43 seconds left, the Texans failed to reach midfield.“I think it was terrible, on my part,” Watson said. “I just feel like you can put the ‘L’ on me.”With Julian Edelman serving a four-game suspension, Dorsett caught seven passes for 66 yards, including a 4-yard TD pass in the closing seconds of the first half to make it 21-6. White had four receptions for 38 yards, including a 12-yard score.Lamar Miller ran 20 times for 98 yards for Houston, which welcomed Watson, defensive lineman J.J. Watt and linebacker Whitney Mercilus back from injuries. Watt had two quarterback hurries, but D.J. Reader had the only two sacks of Brady, both late.“It’s good to play a full game to know it lasts, to know it holds up Womens Keke Coutee Jersey ,” said Watt, a three-time defensive player of the year. “I didn’t think about it once. So, that’s all you can ask for.”It was Watson who felt the pressure the rest of the game. The second-year quarterback, who threw for 301 yards in a 36-33 loss to New England last year in his second NFL start, botched a handoff with Miller in the first quarter, setting up the Patriots up for their first touchdown. In the second quarter, Watson inexplicably chucked the ball into the end zone for a double-covered Vyncint Smith on a second-and-3 from the New England 42.Stephon Gilmore brought it down for the interception.BALL CONTROLThe Patriots also had trouble with turnovers.Brady had an interception in the first quarter on a throw tipped by defensive lineman Angelo Blackson and brought in by Tyrann Mathieu at the Patriots 17. The Texans went backward 7 yards before Ka’imi Fairbairn’s 42-yard field goal made it 7-3.Gronkowski also fumbled in the third quarter after a 25-yard reception across the middle. Mathieu recovered, but after advancing to the New England 17, the Texans gave the ball back on downs. The muffed punt by McCarron gave the Texans one last chance.INJURIESTexans: DE Christian Covington injured his thigh in the first quarter. T Seantrel Henderson left after getting his left ankle rolled a few plays later. Kevin Johnson left with what the team said was a concussion and did not return.Patriots: RB Jeremy Hill left with a right knee injury on the Gronkowski fumble in the third quarter.LATE SERIESAfter the Texans forced New England to punt in the final minute, Ryan Allen landed the ball inside the 5-yard line and Jonathan Jones downed it at the 1. Houston advanced to the 16 on a penalty for leading with the helmet and Watson found DeAndre Hopkins for 14 yards before scrambling for 13 more. From his 43 with 5 seconds left, Watson chucked the ball as far as the 10 but it was knocked away.UP NEXTTexans: visit Tennessee Sunday for an early AFC South showdown.Patriots: visit Jacksonville Sunday in a rematch of the Jan. 21 AFC championship game New England won 24-20 to reach the Super Bowl for the third time in four years. CDTShareTweetShareShareAnother Sad Jadeveon Clowney UpdateTrevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY SportsEveryone is thrashing deep within the jungles of June. It’s hot dog time. The bathtubs are filled with mosquitos and sunscreen. Mandatory minicamps and training camps are quickly approaching. And once again D.J. Reader Jersey , the Texans still haven’t extended Jadeveon Clowney. As you probably figured, Adam Schefter reported Clowney is not expected to attend the Texans’ mandatory minicamp. This isn’t shocking. It’s what we thought would happen. But now it has been officially reported. Worse yet, Lance Zierlein, the man who writes the NFL.com draft write ups, and hosts a Houston sports talk show in Houston, posted the following:Hopefully this was all Brian Gaine. Hopefully the new general manager will make extending Clowney a priority. The Texans aren’t better off trading Clowney; they would be forfeiting this season if they did. J.J. Watt can’t carry the defense on his own and the Texans rely on both players.Clowney is entering the prime of his career, and he is the bridge for Houston to build around once Watt stops producing ridiculous seasons. Hopefully the new general manager pays Clowney the four years and $100 million, or whatever he wants, and pays him like a top defensive end, which he is. Making sure Clowney is available in training camp is instrumental to this season too. After missing camp last season, it took Clowney three weeks to get going. Houston started 0-3 until he and Watt had a crazy game against Indy in Week Four. This season, against this schedule Womens Joel Heath Jersey , Houston can’t start slow again. They need Clowney, and they need him to produce right away. I’m excited for the future day when Clowney is extended by the new general manager. When this tension, this uncertainty, is washed away, we can look at the past and just laugh and laugh and laugh. Until then, we’ll toil some more.

NFL waiver wire rules: How it works Anthony Zettel Jersey White , who’s eligible, 2018 priority order Now that the initial roster cuts are over, it’s time to look towards the crowded waiver wire. Per the NFL transaction list, nearly 1,000 players were waived on Saturday alone. That’s a ton of players for teams to try and stash on their own rosters, if desired. But if several teams want a player, who gets him? Several cut players were “released” not “waived.” What does that mean? And when do players get claimed? We’re going to answer all those questions right now. What is the waiver wire and how does it work? When a player is cut from a team, but they don’t have four years of accrued seasons in the NFL, they are officially “waived.” That means they do not immediately become free agents. They, instead, are put on waivers for a select period of time—typically 24 hours, but it may be longer if it’s a weekend. While a player is on waivers, any NFL team can put in a claim for them. At the end of the waiver period for that player, of the teams that put in a waiver claim for the player, the one with highest priority gets rights to him. If a player goes unclaimed they are officially a free agent free to go anywhere. Teams can also sign unclaimed players to their practice squads. However, if you claim a player via waivers, he must go on your 53-man roster. How is it different from released players?Veteran players with four or more seasons played in the league are not subject to waivers. If they get cut Danny Amendola Jersey White , they are “released” and immediately become free agents free to sign wherever they please. For example, of the six players we think the Lions should sign after cut day, Brian Robison, Marquis Flowers and Michael Johnson are all 4+ year veterans and are now free agents. However, the rest of the crew has been waived and must go through waivers first.Of the players the Lions cut this year, the only ones not subject to the waiver wire are Jonathan Freeny, Wesley Johnson, Sean McGrath, DeShawn Shead, Cam Johnson, Dexter McDougle, and Sterling Moore. 2018 waiver priorityAs previously mentioned, if there are players that have multiple teams putting in a waiver claim for them, they are awarded to the team with the highest priority. From now until Week 3 of the regular season, waiver priority is simply determined by 2018 NFL Draft order (before trades). So the Cleveland Browns have highest priority, the Philadelphia Eagles have lowest priority, while the Detroit Lions are 20th in line. After Week 4 of the regular season Michael Roberts Jersey White , waiver priority is determined by NFL standings—the worst teams have the highest priority.Claiming deadlineFor roster cuts weekend, teams must put in their waiver claims by 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 2. The NFL will announce which teams were awarded which players shortly thereafter. HAMILTON, Ontario (AP) — More than 50 years after taking his first football coaching gig, Jerry Glanville sees the light at the end of the tunnel like only he can.Glanville is completing his first season as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ defensive coordinator after serving as a guest coach in 2017. The Ticats face the Ottawa Redblacks in the East Division final Sunday after beating the B.C. Lions 48-8 in the conference semifinal.“When I took this job my wife (Brenda) asked, ‘How long do you think you’ll stay there?'” Glanville said straight-faced before delivering the punch line with a broad smile. “I said, ‘No longer than 15 years.’“I love it (in CFL), I love everything about it. It’s great fun, great players, the players play hard. It’s just been totally great experience.”He’s appeared in movies, driven race cars and served as a television football analyst. But make no mistake, Glanville — a former linebacker at Northern Michigan University — is a football coach and always will be.“Coaches coach and preachers preach, they take that to the box,” Glanville said. “I’ll be coaching when they put me in the box.“When I was doing TV, Waylon Jennings told me, ‘Quit TV tomorrow. You know more football than anybody. Don’t you dare die without teaching it, don’t you dare die with the music inside you.’ Watching coaches grow and players play is why you never say Golden Tate III Jersey White , ‘I’m done.'”Glanville, a Detroit native who calls Knoxville, Tennessee, home, took his first coaching job in 1967 as Western Kentucky’s defensive coordinator. He spent 20 seasons in the NFL, including nine as a head coach with Houston (1985-89) and Atlanta (1990-93).It was with the Oilers that Glanville coined the now famous phrase, “NFL means ‘not for long,'” while chewing out an official for a bad call. Glanville often stands on the sideline dressed in black with sunglasses, he’s left tickets at will call for the late Elvis Presley and rubbed many people — most notably former Pittsburgh coach Chuck Noll — the wrong way with his words and antics.“You can’t try to live forever, try to live the moment,” Glanville said. “The brave and courageous don’t live forever but those who aren’t never get to live at all. A cat is supposed to have nine lives and I think I’m down to about four. I’ve been very blessed.”The Hamilton job reunited Glanville with Ticats head coach June Jones. Glanville was on the Falcons‘ staff when Jones was a quarterback with the club (1977-81) and the two have worked together in both the NFL (Houston and Atlanta) and NCAA (Hawaii). But the CFL presented challenges for Glanville, none bigger than its unlimited motion.“You have to be smart enough to throw out a lot of your American coverages,” he said. “In the U.S. I’m a full bump-and-run teacher but I don’t full press bump and run anybody that’s off the line. I treat the motion guy like he’s a slotback off the line, then I add four yards in my depth to cover them. You know what? There’s a lot of bump-and-run people playing in the NFL that couldn’t cover anybody up here. It’s different.”Hamilton finished the regular season ranked third against the pass (247.7 yards per game) and fewest yards allowed (334.3), fourth in rushing yards (101.6), sixth in offensive points allowed (23.6 per game) and eighth in sacks (31). On Sunday against B.C., the unit surrendered just 319 total yards and one touchdown while defensive back Frankie Williams registered a pick-six.However Marvin Jones Jr Jersey , Glanville takes no credit for that performance.“What I tell them (players) is the biggest difference between American and Canadian football is nothing,” he said. “It’s still who hits who in the mouth, who gang tackles, who hustles. It’s your attitude, it’s how you play. I don’t take credit for one thing we do and I shouldn’t because I don’t deserve it. There’s never a game where our guys don’t spill their guts and that’s the fun of it.”Linebacker Larry Dean, who had 106 tackles this season and is a finalist for the CFL’s top defensive player award, calls Glanville a “football historian,” who delivers sometimes very colorful messages.“I can’t repeat some of them,” Dean said. “We’re just trying to get as much knowledge from him as we can. He has different philosophies, different ways to look at things and I just find it interestingto pick his brain and get the skin and bones of it.”Glanville credits assistant Ticats head coach Orlondo Steinauer with helping him learn the nuances of Canadian football. But Glanville gushes about the work defensive backs coach Williams Fields and former Ticat Craig Butler, now the team’s special-teams and defensive assistant, have done. However football isn’t what defines Glanville, who’s rubbed elbows with such big-name entertainers as Jennings, Johnny Cash and Burt Reynolds.“I was with Johnny Cash when he was dying,” Glanville said. “When I walked over to see him I said, ‘Gee Johnny, how you doing Kerry Hyder Jersey White ,’ and he said, ‘I’ve got Parkinson’s and it ain’t funny.’ Waylon Jennings was playing the guitar when I saw him and I said, ‘Waylon, you’re playing the blues.’ He looked at me and said, ‘Coach, sooner or later we all go back to the blues.'”But Glanville took Reynolds’ death in September at the age of 82 especially hard. The two worked together in the ’17 film The Last Movie Star and became close friends.“He taught you humility,” Glanville said. “People would line up three blocks for autographs and he never turned anyone down, he never treated anyone badly, he signed every autograph and spoke to every single person. He was bent over and had a hard time walking but he’d never take a double. He was just that type of guy.”Like Glanville, Reynolds also enjoyed pushing the envelope when he could.“The movie premiere was in Knoxville, because most of it was shot there,” Glanville said. “Burt is onstage with the producer and director and they’re taking questions. So this guy asks what Burt thought about the people of Tennessee. Burt looked at him and said, ‘The first thing we’ve got to realize is we all don’t have a chance to live in Georgia.’ Now who else would do that? The crowd cheered. Anybody else would’ve been booed off the stage.”

The teams can’t pretend it will be just another game when the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night in an AFC North showdown.“It’s another game Rodney Anderson Jersey 2019 , but it’s Pittsburgh, and they’re leading our division,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said. “They beat us up there. They’re coming here, and it’s a big football game for us because we don’t get any more do-overs.”The Steelers won the clubs’ first meeting in Week 7 at Pittsburgh, 29-14.Both teams are coming off Week 12 wins. The Steelers (9-2) are currently riding a six-game win streak and have beaten the Bengals (5-6) five straight times. Pittsburgh was on the winning side against Cincinnati eight out of the past nine meetings.Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown enters the game playing at an MVP level. He leads the league in receptions (80) and yards (1,195). Six times this season, Brown eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark, though he did not top 100 yards against the Bengals.Brown has faced the Cincinnati defense 15 times in his career, 14 regular-season games and one playoff game. He went over 100 yards only three times in those contests Color Rush Rodney Anderson Jersey , most recently in the playoffs after the 2015 season.Brown has just five receiving touchdowns against the Bengals. The 2017 Cincinnati pass defense has been very strong and will look to slow Brown and the Steelers passing attack again.Cincinnati ranks fifth in the NFL in pass defense, only allowing 203.8 yards a game. The Bengals are 10th in the NFL in points allowed at 19.5 per contest, so they figure to put pressure on Pittsburgh’s offensive line and running back Le’Veon Bell.Bell leads the NFL in rushing at 981 yards. He is poised to pass the 1,000-yard mark on a season for the third time in his five-year NFL career.Getting a mere 19 yards Sunday shouldn’t be a problem as the Michigan State product is facing a Bengals defense that is 28th in the NFL at stopping the run, allowing opponents an average of 126.6 yards a game. The Bengals finally had their own strong showing in the run game last week in a 30-16 win over the Cleveland Browns. Led by rookie running back Joe Mixon, the Bengals churned out 152 rushing yards.Finding that same freedom against the Steelers will not be so easy. The Pittsburgh defense only gives up an average of 96 yards per game on the ground, which ranks sixth in the NFL.The Steelers’ defense is ranked fourth in the league points allowed at 17.5 a contest. If the Bengals are going to win, quarterback Andy Dalton needs to make big plays in the passing game, especially to wide receiver A.J. Green. On paper Cheap Rodney Anderson Jersey , Pittsburgh pass defense looks stalwart, ranking third in the NFL by only allowing 193.4 yards a game. But the Steelers’ secondary has been gashed by big pass plays all season. In Pittsburgh’s 31-28 win over Green Bay on Sunday, Packers quarterback Brett Hundley threw three touchdown passes of 39 yards or longer. The Tennessee Titans scored on a 75-yard touchdown pass against the Steelers. The Indianapolis Colts scored twice on passes of 60 yards or more, and the Detroit Lions’ Matthew Stafford threw for 423 yards against the Steelers with two completions of 40 yards or more.“You can’t give up chunks on defense and give yourself chances to win,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said after the Green Bay game. “We were able to overcome those things. We were probably fortunate, but it’s also probably a good sign of the group in terms of we’re a good enough team to kind of overcome those things.“We got enough togetherness to stay on task, but obviously we got to minimize some of those things. Some of those things have been issues for us in multiple games, particularly the big plays of late, so obviously that has to stop yesterday.”While Steelers need to eliminate giving up big plays on defense Rodney Anderson Jersey Womens , the Bengals need Dalton to have a consistent, turnover=free night. The Pittsburgh offense should look to ride the legs of Bell, as the Bengals’ defense has fared well at containing Brown. Cincinnati can’t allow a different Steelers receiver or Bell to have a big game. Longtime NFL cornerback Adam Jones wasn’t going down easily.Jones was arrested last week at an Indiana casino, and the details of the arrest fit in with one of the league’s volatile personalities.According to TMZ Sports, Jones was verbally abusive to the police during his Feb. 27 arrest, telling one he was going to kill him and suggesting to another that he should perform a sex act on him.Agents from the Indiana Gaming Commission Enforcement approached Jones after he was suspected of cheating at a table game, specifically of adding chips to his bet after the result of the game was clear. He apparently did not appreciate the allegation, telling multiple agents “F— You,” and giving them the middle finger. (He was drafted by the Titans in 2005 Rodney Anderson Cincinnati Bengals Jersey , so perhaps it was a Bud Adams salute.)He told another IGCE agent: “I will kill you, . . . I will whoop your ass.”Other expletives flowed from Jones during his handcuffing and detention, telling officers: “You ain’t s—” and “You ain’t nothing but a b—-.” At one point, he allegedly tried to escape custody, but was subdued again by officers, at which point he said they could: “Suck my d—” while calling them “a bunch of crackers.”Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the incident, as you might have suspected.Court documents cited by TMZ showed Jones has been charged with eight crimes, including felony intimidation and felony battery against an officer, along with misdemeanor counts of cheating at gambling Rodney Anderson Jersey 2019 , resisting law enforcement and public intoxication. The 35-year-old Jones was cut in midseason by the Broncos last year, which seemed to be the end of a 14-year NFL career with the Titans, Cowboys, and Bengals which was scattered with suspensions and fines.

CDTShareTweetShareShare2019 NFL Draft: Houston Texans’ First Round Nightmare Scenario Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY SportsOh, the NFL Draft, a three day extravaganza of predicting, projecting, and praying that months of studying will pay off. Some teams have more to desperately pray for than others, but fortunately for Texans’ fans, the anticipation does not have to wait until the third round begins this year. With the 23rd pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, there should be plenty of talent available for the Texans to select. However, the first tier of offensive line and cornerback talent may be off the board by the time the Texans go on the clock. If so, the Texans may be scrambling to find comparable talent with a first round pick at corner or offensive tackle. This is how it could happen, and what Houston should do if it does.Part One: A Run on Offensive LinemenTo compensate for the best defensive line draft in recent memory, teams respond with a mid-first round run on offensive linemen. If you’ve studied the myriad of mock drafts posted on a daily basis, you’ve seen this scenario outlined below. Everyone and their mother is projecting the Jags take Taylor with the seventh overall pick to replace Jeremy Parnell. Taylor is the most NFL-ready right tackle in this draft class. The Packers have other needs, but as Aaron Rodgers’ health goes http://www.thetexanslockerroom.com/authentic-zach-fulton-jersey , so do the Packers; Williams would pair nicely with David Bakhtiari to protect Rodgers’ blind side. I could also see the Pack taking Cody Ford and moving him to guard. The Panthers have holes all over the offensive line and Dillard would shore up the left side of the line. Although I doubt Dillard makes it all the way to 16, he likely won’t get past the Panthers if he does slide a tad. The Vikings have an equally miserable offensive line as the Texans and would subsequently pick the best lineman available in this scenario. Ford is my ideal Texans draft pick, though Weston surely disagrees. Like that kid on the playground that follows the bully and gets the last kick in, the Chargers leap the Texans in this scenario to nab Little as their future left tackle. Little may not be a plug-and-play first-round talent right now, but he has an elite ceiling if he succeeds. Part Two: The Three CBs Are Swept UpIf you are a consumer of all things irrelevant (a/k/a mock drafts and flat earth theories), you’ve seen the former usually presents only three corner backs drafted in the first round. Deandre Baker, Greedy Williams, and Byron Murphy are three talented corners with vastly different skill sets, and their draft selections will be more dependent on each team’s scheme rather than their rank of talent. This is not the most elite cornerback class, but need takes precedent in the middle of the draft. The Redskins, Giants, and Titans steal the best talent right out of the Texans’ grasp. Deandre Baker is a stud corner who will dive right into the Redskins’ revolving door secondary. They will make up for his speed concerns with their base-nickel package and with newly acquired Landon Collins. Byron Murphy would excel for the Giants as a zone coverage corner on the other side of Janoris Jenkins, and Greedy Williams makes a ton of sense for Tennessee since they face Deshaun Watson, Andrew Luck and now Nick Foles twice a season. Greedy can run with T.Y. Hilton and is physical enough to battle DeAndre Hopkins Now that the dead are at the gates of Winterfell and all the talent in the land at positions of need have been taken Kendall Lamm Jersey , what do the Texans do at 23? The first thought is to trade back and get more at bats in the draft, but moving back does not make the talent any better. If this scenario takes place on April 25th, the Texans will have to read their draft board, use every second of the clock to find a trade partner, but ultimately they should make this pick:The talented corner is already on the Texans’ (and Charley Casserly’s!) radar. He met with the Texans during the Senior Bowl, as reported by Aaron Wilson. It is not that taking Ya-Sin is a guaranteed bust or a wasted pick, but teams are looking for Pro Bowl talent in the first round. Ya-Sin ran a 4.51 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine which was well within the bottom half of times for defensive backs. He played most of his career at Presbyterian and only one season at Temple as a graduate transfer. He has prototypical cornerback size and length and knows how to be aggressive at the top of his routes. His film during the Senior Bowl presented much needed tape against NFL-ready talent. Ya-Sin would be an immediate solution for the Texans at corner. The team brought in Bradley Roby and Briean Boddy-Calhoun as band-aids, but Ya-Sin is a moldable talent who I could see Bill O’Brien and Brian Gaine pulling the trigger on over reaching for a definite second-round offensive lineman. Still, for all that Ya-Sin would bring, the Texans have their eyes on a player with a higher ceiling entering the draft. Even though the NFL Draft is coming up soon, free agency is still alive."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Texans StoriesScheduleRosterStatsYahoo Texans NewsYahoo Texans Team PageYahoo Texans ReportYahoo Texans Depth ChartYahoo Texans TransactionsYahoo Texans PhotosOdds About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub 鉁?019 NFL Free Agency2019 Houston Texans Offseason2019 NFL Free Agency: New England Patriots Sign Demaryius ThomasNew,5commentsEven though the NFL Draft is coming up soon, free agency is still alive.CDTShareTweetShareShare2019 NFL Free Agency: New England Patriots Sign Demaryius ThomasBill Streicher-USA TODAY SportsLast season, the Texans traded a fourth round pick to the Broncos for Demaryius Thomas once Will Fuller V was lost for the season after tearing his ACL against the Miami Dolphins. It was a fine deal for a competent receiver and a much better option than the stale Womens Justin Reid Jersey , low sodium saltines available in the cupboard. Thomas played in seven games and caught 23 passes for 237 yards for the Texans until his season ended prematurely in Philadelphia with a torn Achilles. At 31 years old, some questioned whether DT would come back to play football again, though his status in Houston wasn’t questioned; he was due $14 million to play in Houston in 2019, and there was no way the Texans were going to pay him that even if he was healthy. What happened next was a no-brainer. The Texans released him, making the veteran wideout a free agent.Thomas is in fact going to play more football, even at 31 years old and after tearing his Achilles. Yesterday, Thomas signed with the New England Patriots, where he will hang out with Julian Edelman, Philip Dorsett, and maybe Josh Gordon. Even if it didn’t work out the way he and the Texans hoped, it was a decent trade Houston made bringing in Thomas. We will see him back in Houston next season when the Texans host the Patriots.
