Creatively, Jaden Smith has been firing on multiple cylinders lately as he just released his newest single “Cabin Fever” along with a supporting music video, dropped his latest “Trippy Summer” collection through his own MSFTSrep apparel imprint, and introduced his first official sneaker collaboration with his “Wavy Baby Blue” New Balance Vision Racer. And of all of those, the latter is ostensibly going to broaden its catalog here shortly as his own sneaker is slated to release in a brand new installment.
For this colorway, Smith takes a cleaner approach with its design by wrapping its 1700-meets-X-Racer upper mesh constructions in an angelic white with smooth suedes layered on top hued in off-white. The mid-foot is probably the most enticing as it feature navy accents applied to the overlays that sandwich its “N” logos which lie just above its bright yellow piping that carries over the repeated “((VISION))” wording throughout. Other details to point out include that of its milky translucent heel counter that plasters the “NB” stamp on both sides, followed by its chunky and segmented midsole that is also presented with bright white finishes.
The “Off White” colorway of the New Balance 996 Deconstruct is pretty darn simple, but the uniqueness of the model makes up for that by tons. We all fell head over heels when we saw the deconstructed version of the NB 696, and one would assume that the same passion flows into the release of the New Balance 996 Deconstruct “Off White”. The upper features a high quality construction, with perforations along the toe, the New Balance “N” logo and the collar, which is pulled off pretty intricately.
