not anticipate an issue re-signing Antworten

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ryan Miller faced plenty of good chances from the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Vancouver Canucks goalie stopped them all. Air VaporMax Navy White .Miller made 31 saves for his second consecutive shutout, his third of the season and 32nd of his career, and the streaking Canucks topped the struggling Blue Jackets 5-0 on Friday night.Columbus couldnt muster anything against Miller, who extended his scoreless run to 152 minutes, 5 seconds. The Canucks are tied for first in the Western Conference with 33 points, propelled by a 6-1-1 run.Miller is tied for the NHL lead with 15 wins.I feel all right, Miller said. I feel like Im still building the right kind of game to play with this team. Just keep going, keep improving.Chris Higgins and Brad Richardson both had a goal and an assist for Vancouver, which played the first game of a season-high, seven-game, 12-day road trip. The Canucks balanced, four-line attack started producing late in the second period and then broke out in the third. Henrik Sedin, Shawn Matthias and Alexandre Burrows also scored, and Nick Bonino added three assists. Its harder to shut us down when everybody is scoring, rookie Vancouver coach Willie Desjardins said.Columbus has lost five in a row and has dropped to the bottom of the NHL standings with a 2-12-2 slide. Sergei Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 29 shots.Higgins found space down the left wing, patiently holding the puck before snapping a shot from below the circle, almost to the goal line and inside the near post for his fifth goal at 15:25 of the second. It just seems like we dont have enough confidence, Columbus forward Nick Foligno said. It sounds stupid but its kind of the thing I noticed the most. When we get scored on it just deflates us. Its just a mental toughness that we need to have and we just dont have it right now.Just 48 seconds into the third, Radim Vrbata threw the puck back toward to the near post where Sedin was waiting for the easy goal.It was nice, Sedin said of the play leading to his sixth goal. (Radim) waited a long time. I thought it might be too late. But nice pass, I had an empty netter. That was a big one for us.The Canucks poured it on from there, adding three more goals in just under six minutes after Miller made a nice glove save on Folignos drive from the slot.I thought they had the best chances in the first and most of the second, Desjardins said of the Blue Jackets. We were lucky. I thought Ryan Miller played real well. I thought that was the difference.Matthias took a bouncing puck, and on a breakaway snapped a shot past Bobrovsky for his fourth at 11:49.Bobrovsky was pulled for an extra skater with just over five minutes remaining, and Richardson scored right away from inside the blue line for his fourth to make it 4-0.With Bobrovsky back in the net, Burrows scored from the left circle at 17:26 for his eighth to cap the scoring.I thought in the third period we were really efficient with the puck — made some nice plays, Desjardins said.NOTES: Vancouver is 14-1-2 in its last 17 games in Columbus but had lost three of four there. ...The Blue Jackets play Saturday at Nashville, which is 9-1-1 at home. ... Miller hasnt allowed a goal since 7:55 of the second period in a 4-1 win over Chicago on Nov. 23, a span of three games. ... Columbus dropped to 3-8-1 at home. Nike Air VaporMax Orange White . "Its embarrassing what were doing here," leading scorer Phil Kessel said Wednesday. The most recent failed season came with even more pain than the six that preceded it. There was no hint of an impending implosion when the Leafs came roaring out of the all-star break with back-to-back games against Pittsburgh -- a 5-4 shootout loss followed by a 1-0 win the next night. General Manager Sam Presti said the three-time All-Star had knee swelling that would not subside, and the procedure was intended to solve the problem. He said doctors determined that a loose stitch was to blame for the swelling, that Westbrooks lateral meniscus has healed properly and the procedure was successful. The Senators playoff chances may be finished, but their general manager will be paying close attention to the final 10 games of the season as he starts to focus on the 2014-15 campaign. Speaking to TSN 1200 on Friday evening, Bryan Murray said he has not made any final decisions on his team for next season – and that includes giving a formal vote of confidence to head coach Paul MacLean. When asked directly about MacLeans job security moving forward, Murray did not make any guarantees for his head coach or any of his players. “I dont have a definite answer to that, but Pauls got a contract going forward. He was Coach of the Year last year and I dont know what happened this year necessarily as far as performance is concerned,” Murray said. “I think hes a very good coach and I think he has the ear of the players in the room. We had some really tough outings and its shared amongst a lot of people – myself included. We thought this team was better. We thought we had enough skill here to offset a couple of little things we were missing last year – and it didnt work out. Was that because of the departure of Daniel Alfredsson? Was it because we overestimated a couple our young guys? I think all of those evaluations will take place and will continue. With 10 games to go, well be watching very closely with the effort that is put forward here. Im certainly not planning to make any decisions until the 82 games have gone by and well make a decision based on the whole year.” Murray also elaborated on the prognosis of Bobby Ryan, who underwent surgery on Thursday in Montreal to repair a sports hernia injury that had been plaguing him for most of the season. Murray indicated that Ryan should be able to resume his off-ice training in a few weeks and his summer program should not be affected. Ryan – who had a team-leading 23 goals at the time of his injury – had a disappointing first season as the Senators failed to make the playoffs and he did not reach the 30-goal plateau. However, Murray was quick to point out that his injury played a major role in his lower prooductivity and the front office remains committed to him long-term. Nike Air VaporMax Pure White True White. Ryans contract expires at the end of next season and while the Senators are not allowed to start formal negotiations on an extension until July 1st, Murray was adamant the club would push hard to keep him in Ottawa. “I think hes going to be happy to talk to us. We certainly plan to try to keep him, we hope to get something done with Bobby so he will have a long career in Ottawa,” said Murray. While Murray cannot open his contract talks with players like Ryan and Jason Spezza until July 1st, he can start negotiating with a pending free agent for his summer in Ales Hemsky. Acquired by the Senators at the trade deadline, the 30-year-old has been a nice addition to the Sens lineup and has found chemistry with Spezza on a consistent basis. Murray has not opened formal negotiations with Hemskys camp, but says that will be coming soon. “Ive said hello to his agent and Ive talked to Ales a little bit and I get the impression he likes it here, he likes the city and he likes the way hes been treated. Until you start talking and realize what the commitment is – term and dollar wise – its hard to know. Certainly well have conversations and thats part of the reason why we traded for him at the deadline. We thought if we could get him on board here and he gets to know the group and how we operate, it might be easier for us to negotiate with him and can be an advantage for us.” Murray also said he yet to open up negotiations with netminder Robin Lehner, who is set to become a restricted free agent this summer. While he has had a down year with only eight wins in 32 games and a 3.23 GAA, Lehner figures to be a major piece for the organization moving forward. And the general manager does not anticipate an issue re-signing the 22-year-old coming out of his entry-level deal. “I know that Robin has indicated that he likes Ottawa and he wants to stay here,” said Murray. “Well get it done with Robin, but its just a matter of where he fits into our long-term plans here.” Cheap Jerseys China NFL Jerseys China NFL Jerseys Wholesale Discount Basketball Jerseys Cheap NHL Jerseys Authentic Cheap Baseball Jerseys Free Shipping Cheapest College Jerseys Sale Cheap Football Jerseys China Nike NFL Jerseys Canada Wholesale NHL Jerseys From China MLB Jerseys Outlet Canada Wholesale NBA Jerseys Canada Store Cheap Soccer Jerseys China Cheap Authentic Jerseys Canada ' ' '
