ROME - Canadian Milos Raonic advanced to his first semifinal of the season Friday after a 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 quarter-final win over Jeremy Chardy of France at the Italian Open. Air Max 720 Italia . Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., will next play second-ranked Novak Djokovic of Serbia, who is back on track after a right wrist injury sidelined him last week. Raonic led by a set and a break at 6-3, 4-3 before losing his serve for the first time in the tournament. Chardy broke again at 6-5 to force a third set on an overcast day at the Foro Italico. Djokovic, who sat out last weeks Madrid Open, overcame a stiff challenge from David Ferrer before grinding out a 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 win. Djokovic double-faulted on his first match point but then won a 38-shot rally before eventually closing it out in just over 2 1/2 hours. Djokovic is aiming for third Rome title, having won the clay-court event in 2008 and 2011. Also reaching the last four was Grigor Dimitrov, who celebrated his 23rd birthday with a win when 36-year-old Tommy Haas retired after losing the first set 6-2 due to a right shoulder injury — spoiling a matchup between the youngest and oldest players in the top 20. Dimitrovs semifinal opponent will be either seven-time Rome champion Rafael Nadal or Wimbledon title-holder Andy Murray, who were playing later in the last key warm-up event before the French Open starts in nine days. "Its definitely one of the most memorable days of my life," Dimitrov said upon reaching his first Masters series semifinal. "Im just a happy birthday boy today." In womens play, Sara Errani took advantage of a supportive crowd to beat second-seeded Li Na 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 and reach the semifinals for the second consecutive year. Errani will next meet either 2007 and 2008 Rome champion Jelena Jankovic or third-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska. In the other half of the draw, 2008 French Open champion Ana Ivanovic beat 13th-seeded Carla Suarez Navarro 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 and will face either top-ranked Serena Williams or Zhang Shuai of China. The 10th-seeded Errani is attempting to become the first Italian to win the tournament since Raffaella Reggi took the title 29 years ago in Taranto. The last Italian man to win was Adriano Panatta back in 1976. Li was unusually inconsistent, committing 52 unforced errors to Erranis 21, and appeared rattled by a close call from the chair umpire early in the third set. Errani celebrated by waving her arms to incite the crowd. "I did well not to get carried away by the euphoria," Errani said. "Its difficult to describe how it felt at the end. The fans were incredible." ___ With files from The Canadian Press. Scarpe Air Max 720 Outlet . -- Jim Furyk was 10 shots worse and right where he wanted to be Saturday in the BMW Championship. Dalton completed 16-of-22 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns. He had a passer rating of 2.0 while throwing for only 86 yards and three interceptions in a 24-3 home loss to Cleveland on Nov. 6. Rookie Jeremy Hill, who played at LSU, totaled 152 yards on 27 carries for Cincinnati (6-3-1), which moved into first place in the AFC North. Drew Brees had 255 yards and a touchdown on 33-of-41 passing for the Saints (4-6), who have lost consecutive games at the Superdome. The last time New Orleans dropped back-to-back home games came in 2012, when they lost the season opener to Washington and then to Kansas City in overtime in Week 3. Despite their record, the Saints remain tied for first in the underwhelming NFC South. The Saints converted three third downs on the games opening drive that ended with Shayne Graham kicking a 31-yard field goal. Cincinnati marched down the field on its first possession. On 3rd-and-8 from the New Orleans 12-yard line, Jermaine Gresham caught a pass at the 1, spun and extended the ball toward the goal line with his left hand. The ball was knocked loose and Gresham kicked it into the end zone, where he made the recovery for the abnormal touchdown. The Bengals defense then made a goal-line stannd as fullback Erik Lorig was tackled for a 1-yard loss on a catch in the flat on fourth down. Air Max 720 Offerta. Dalton followed by guiding a 15-play drive that stalled inside the New Orleans 5-yard line. The Bengals chose not to gamble like the Saints and Mike Nugent made a 22-yard field goal to extend Cincinnatis lead to 10-3 with 2:52 remaining in the second quarter. After the Saints were forced to punt, Hill ran 62 yards to set up Nugents 42- yarder on the final play of the first half. The Bengals began their second drive in the third quarter at midfield after a 25-yard Thomas Morstead punt. They capitalized on the short field as Dalton threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Gresham. New Orleans trimmed its deficit to 20-10 when Kenny Stills caught a pass from Brees and dove for the left pylon on the first play of the fourth quarter. The Saints were unable to defend wide receiver A.J. Green on the ensuing possession. Green, whose pass interference penalty backed up the Bengals, made catches of 38 and 18 yards to convert third downs before hauling in a pass down the left sideline for a 24-yard touchdown. Game Notes The Saints had won a club-record 11 straight home games in the regular season until last Sundays overtime loss to San Francisco ... Dalton improved to 11-3-1 against NFC teams ... New Orleans running back Mark Ingram had 67 yards on 23 carries and caught a game-high seven passes for only 30 yards. ' ' '
